They're not horribly slow but they are significant, I don't wish Wii U had a faster disc drive because it's already significantly louder than Wii, but it makes me wish it had something else to make load times faster, maybe it should've had a built in HDD with partial installs for games ala Ps3, idk.

I watched some of the latest tropical freeze footage and the load times are pretty bad (thought maybe it's an early version), and the load times in the Wonderful 101 are kind of irritating. It's not a huge deal, just wondered how many people are bothered by it.

The load times seem to be horrible specifically with third party titles. But I've noticed a multitude of issues with third party games... I think I'm done buying third party games for my Wii U.

2 gigs. Cartridges would just be terrible these days for both games and manufacturers, very little storage and expensive.

Nintendo found a happy medium between discs and cartridges with the gamecube, i think they should've kept improving that kind of disc. Gamecube had blazing fast loading.

I honestly don't notice it. Maybe it's because I multi-task and do other things as it loads though.

It depends on the game. Nintendoland and Black Ops 2 load pretty quick. In contrast, Deus Ex takes a while. The option for partial installs would be nice.

I've downloaded most of my games. I don't even know if that makes a difference, but load times have never seemed too long for me. The only game I know of that has serious issues with it is Lego City Undercover, but I haven't played it.

My only complaint is how long it takes to go between menus, but it doesn't bother me too much.

A HDD for caching data would have solved the problem or at least greatly improved it (Using the internal memory is a non runner...it would drastically shorten the life of the console). A faster CPU probably wouldnt hurt either.

I honestly haven't noticed load times as being an issues in any games since I got my Wii U. AC:BF had a little longer than normal loading time when I first started the game up, but thats it.
