A new Pokemon game will be revealed on May 21!

According to Japan's Dengeki Nintendo DS magazine,a new Pokemon game will be revealed on May 21
The magazine is teasing the new reveal for its next issue expected out on May 21, although the type of game it will be and it destined platform remain a mystery.
The latest games in the main series, Pokemon Black and White versions, have not long released in the West, but were out in Japan in September last year. While fans will be hoping for the reveal of the next quest and/or the franchise's debut on 3DS, it does seem a little soon for it.
We still remenber a fact!Pokemon Black/White versions smashed past the two million sales mark in the US within just two weeks on sale.

It's been confirmed by GameFreak that Pokemon Grey or a third title in the Black/White Saga will NOT released.

If release timings continue as they have been going, it wont be a new Pokemon Ranger title, as that wouldn't be expected until March next year.

This defiantly leaves 4 possible options to what it could be...

A brand new Pokemon main series title (ridiculously unlikely, just oh so not gonna happen)

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon (as bad as they are they sell like hot cakes)

a Pokemon Puzzle game (oh please no.)

a Brand new spin-off game.....

overall Id prefer a new Stadium or Colosseum game, but i think they've been down that road and wont go back.

As I recall, it wasn't a flat denial but more along the lines of "we have no plans at this time".

I think it's kinda early for a remake of third gen. I would be happy if they did make pokemon grey for the 3DS, but I think it would most likly be a pokemon mystery dungeon, or a Wii game!!!

I don't think those two reasons even matter. Gamefreak has proven that if Kyurem would be too ugly (I don't personally think so) they can just make an alternate form for it. I don't think they've very concerned with what critics think as much as they care about sales, and I'm sure Platinum sold very well.

Just the fact that it will print them money for minimal effort is pretty much a guarantee.

and Blabadon, I agree with you - a two region game (possible the 6th generation could link up to Hoenn somehow?) would be a great idea.

Finally, if they were to release a Pokemon Gray it wouldn't come to Japan until late 2012 and early 2013 for America, nearly 2 years after the 3DS was launched. It just wont sell as much compared to the others. If they're intent on making on a Pokemon game, make a 3DS one, don't was time on a final game for B/W.

Try Moltenix on the official thread, I think he's the one who posted it.

I think they should make Gray for the 3DS personally, it's nice to have such a great game so far into the systems life span but the DS's time is over and it's time to move on to bigger and better things.

Let me also point out the interview that apparently said there wouldn't be third version was asked at a Black/White Promotional Event BEFORE they were released in North America. I'm no business expert but I wouldn't want to be spreading word that an even better version is in the works before the original product was released.

Not to mention the fact that it's inevitable that there will be a third version! There just has to be. It hasn't been announced, we know nothing about it, but what I do know is that I would happily offer Nintendo my money for a "Pokemon Gray" as would many other fans. :P

Glad to hear that was just a false rumor.

I hope that the third version is 3DS enhanced. I haven't played Black or White yet since I have a broken DS. When I am able to get a 3DS I will be able to play HeartGold and the fifth generation for the first time. It would be nice if "Grey" (or whatever it will be called) would work better on the 3DS (as in maybe be an actual 3DS game? Don't know the chances of that)
