Just recieved FCC approval. It's already available in Japan. This should give consumers an Android alternative to the iPod Touch, which is currently the only mainstream media player running a mobile OS. Being that it's a Walkman, it will have industry leading audio quality, much better than the competition's (this last part can't be understated, Walkman audio quality is leaps and bounds better than it's main competitor's ;)).

It is quite capable in terms of hardware as well

4.3" screen

Tegra Dual-Core CPU

512 GB RAM

16 GB / 32 GB / 64 GB storage

Android 2.3

I like this trend of Android being used on non-phone devices. Maybe we'll see future iterations of the PSP adopt Android?

I loved my W810i. The audio quality was superb.

I'm not a fan of Sony's custom UI and bloatware though.

I just got rid of my trusty W995. I'd definitely like to see the new Walkman on Android.

I already have something like this. The Samsung Galaxy Player. Its very nice. 8gb storage default, supports micro SD card up to 32gbs, 4inch or 5 inch screen, I love it. Check it out on amazon.
