Triple Game Night - December 15

GameSpot staff plan to play three games for the last game night of the year!

US Date: December 15
US Time: 5:00 p.m. PT
GameSpot Staff: Sophia Tong, Kevin VanOrd, Chris Watters, and Maxwell McGee.

The games we'll be playing include:

Gran Turismo 5 (PS3)
Staff: TBD

GoldenEye 007 (Wii)
Staff: Chris Watters

Starcraft 2 (PC)
Staff: Kevin VanOrd, Sophia Tong, and Maxwell McGee.

Here's how to participate.

Step 1)Visit the chatroom. If you have any problems loading this chatroom visit java.com to download the most recent version.

Step 2) Be sure to change your font color in the chatroom with the following:

Gran Turismo 5 players will be red text to represent the game's box art.
Golden Eye 007 players will be teal text to represent the Wii GameSpot channel.
Starcraft II players will be blue text to represent the game's box art. 

By changing your font color staff and other GameSpot members will know which game you plan to play. 

Step 3) Staff will be in the chatroom sharing their ingame names or requesting your ingame name. The first 15 minutes is often us sharing the ingame names so we thank you ahead of time for your patience. Once this phase is over the staff members hosting each game will begin matches

If you show up late please note that there might be a little wait time in the chatroom in between games. Just be sure to share with other players idling in the chatroom that you plan to play a certain game. That way, if you step away from viewing the chatroom you can have other players sharing that you are interested in a particular game. Once staff return from the game we'll likely see if anyone else wants to join prior to starting another match in the game. 

Time zone differences?

We have asked the AU and UK staff if they have plans to have a last game night of the year. If they decide to have one you might get a chance to play a game night during your timezone. If you'd like to play during the US game nights to hang out with some of the US staff check out the time zone converter to see what time it will be for you where you live.

Share which game and time you plan to show up in this thread. By sharing that you plan to participate we'll notify you the day before the event. 

Heck yeah, I'm up for some Starcraft 2.  What kind of games will be played?  Just straight-up 1v1 matches, or team games, or custom games, or some combination of the above?

What? you guys don't want to play some random racing games in SC2? Or Centipede? (that custom game was pretty fun btw)

I'm up for any kind of multiplayer match. I suck so I'll need someone else to protect me ^_^ 

This was my first Game Night, as either I didn't own games or the times didn't work out for me in the past.

Had a lot of fun playing SC2 with you guys, especially with Yagr and Gabu after everyone else left :)

Yeah, this was a great time.  We should do SC2 game nights more often! :P
