Hmmmm... Uncharted. I must have played through it 7 times and it never ceased to be a great time! Such a hard decision though with the likes of Fallout 3, Oblivion, Bioshock, MGS4, Dead Space and Burnout Paradise offering nearly equal quality.

Team Fortress 2, it would take forever to count how many double jumps and backstabs I have gotten.

Oblivion and Call of Duty 4. These games took over my life when they first came out.

so far at least..empire total war. if devs want to see how to make a sequal...there you go. it has changed significantly, major new additions have been made and everything has been improved on. the TW series is very special....the absolute pinnacle of strategy.....a series of sheer majesty. to be honest...i dont see anything topping it for the rest of gen unless nintendo do something truly magnificent with the next zelda.

Tough choice for me, really, but I must go with Tales of Vesperia. Incredibly immersive and fun to boot, especially with friends.

Persona 4.

That game is incredible, and it's even better a second time around. I love it.

Im torn between MGS4 and Super Mario Galaxy, both are equally great games that are tied for my favorite game this gen, SF4 is also right behind those choices.

I was thinking the same thing - nothing new at the game store, heh? I was looking yesterday.

I was entirely contentwith Oblivion (I'm notjust being agreeable- it's some game)and BioShock.

On the Xbox, Riddick and Ninja Gaiden came out at the same time, and I couldn't believeeither game.

Those games are rare.

I think the game I found to be the most consistently enjoyable start to finish was Drake's Fortune. And I'm super pumped for the sequel. Great visuals, great sound, great story and great action. Can't ask for much more.

It's a multiplayer game that made a rabid single-player gamer not only give it a look, not just try it out, not just like it, not just have fun with it - but introduced him to a completely different gaming experience. Seriously, I don't care about multiplayer. You'll never convince me to even try a session of Counter-Strike, Call of Duty or Gears of War. I just don't give a ****. Team Fortress 2 on the other hand, had it all - a wonderful art-styIe, awesome characters, insane amounts of polish and balance and--and this is what it truly excels at--teamwork. The cIasses gave loads of gameplay variety, the goal-oriented teamwork paved the way for awesome battle scenarios and the fantastic community provided a bottomless amount of maps, mods, servers and everything in-between.

I love this game.

The DS is my favorite this gen, but the overall best games imo this gen are MGS4, Persona 4, Bioshock or LBP.

There's a ton and a half of good stuff out there, but both as a father and a gamer my favorite is Littlebigplanet. A physics based four player platform is cool enough, but the inclusion of a level creation system, the ability to post the levels online and the ability of players to leave three types of feedback (stars, single word comments and long comments) is brilliant.
