Would you replay the last level of Ducktales to beat it?

*Spoliers:

On the last level of Ducktales Remastered (mount vesuvius) I beat the stage, Dracula Duck (jumping on the 2 bats gave me trouble), then got to this climbing sequence where you have to beat Glomgold/Magika to the dime and then race against the lava.

I died a few times just figuring out what was going on and replayed the whole level again and got to the same spot. This time I got the dime and started climbing up, but the lava finally got me before I could beat it. This made me extremely frustrated and I looked online to see how much more there was all I had to do was drop off the chain and jump and I would have beaten the game.

If you were in my spot would you go back and try again to get the satisfaction of beating the game or would you just watch the ending online since you already basically beat it?

This is like running down the street, watching a video of a guy running a Marathon, and then claiming you basically ran a marathon

Isn't it more like running the entire marathon and stopping at the finish line and then being told you had to step over the line, not run up to it so it doesn't count? I beat the main stage, final boss, and beat the clock to collect the dime. Why they have some stupid climbing to beat the lava when you can't see above you at the end really baffles me.

It makes me sad that this is even a question. :(
