Meh. . don't care if they don't make a game worth the hassle.
Activision is Call of Duty town and I haven't played one of those in years, Blizzard is pretty trash now and only the most loyal fans stick around and bask in pay-to-win mediocrity.
Then lets take note that they killed the possibility of more Tony Hawk or Crash games and forced those teams to help Blizzard and CoD releases. So Activision-Blizzard are in the grand scheme of things a one trick pony that is clinging onto four IPs at most.
It's smart for Microsoft to bank and think long-term with the Call of Duty franchise, but I doubt the Blizzard side will make the money they hoped, they're a decade or so late for that party.
For me as a customer all that matters is if a game is worth it. Bethesda seem to have a higher chance of making a decent product and even then I'm only expecting id Software & Arkane Studios to provide the goods. Tango Gameswork has been a mess for sometime, and we all know how Bethesda Studios is "it just works".
This deal from a customer perspective only impacts Call of Duty fans, and mildly Tracer porn fanatics.
