Who will buy Capcom?

Only Japanese Companies can buy it do to a Japanese law.

Please Sony, buy Capcom! Nintendo won't do it, even though they most likely need it

If it's a Japanese company that has to buy Capcom, then either Square Enix or Konami.

I have a feeling there is a way to make a purchase like a Capcom brand by a western company. It would probably be harder,longer, and more expensive to do so. But nonetheless I think there is a way.

When it comes to who sure purchase Capcom/Capcom IPs, I hope anyone will do it at this point. The IPs they own have had a solid history and a massive fanbase backing them. They just haven't been doing so hot in the last couple years aside from their Monster Hunter series. (Which makes millions in Japan)

If you dont want to ever see Capcom games on anything but Nintendo consoles, then root for Nintendo to buy Capcom.

Also Sony has enough dead fat as it is, no need to buy another one like Capcom.

And thats why most big european, western, asian companies have strawmen ;)

@downnice95: add Sega and Kadokawa to the list, Sega bought Atlus about a year ago and Kadokawa just bought From Software.

Yep, but what they should buy are just the ip rights not the company itself :D

The company could still have autonomy, they would just make the games exclusive. a couple of millions is not that much when the shares are only 17 bucks and 160k of them for sale. Ads and games themselves are cheaper than that. It's a wise investment. Think about it. Megamen, Resident Evil, Dead Rising, Street Fighter, etc all on PS4? With all the in house talent they could borrow to make the games aswell? Hell yeah!

I think I'd prefer for Capcom to remain in control as I really enjoy all the games that they still make. My first choice on who I'd most like to see purchase them or their IP's would be Microsoft, if that's at all possible.
