We have had Tomb Raider movies, now there is a new Tomb raider movie, we have had Hitman movies, Assassins Creed movie, Doom movie but where is the Uncharted movie.
I'm waiting to see Nathan Drake on the big screen, where is the movie??

why a movie when the game is a movie
@tryit: That is a valid point, but I still would like to see a real movie, not just a bunch of cut scenes in between gameplay. I wonder who would play Nathan Drake?

someone should take all the cut scenes and put them together and release it as a movie.
oh wait...stating the obvious
Is there anyway they can do Uncharted as a movie without looking like they copied Indiana Jones?

Don't go there. You folks who keeps on saying this needs to find a new material to call it cause it's getting old now.

lol..
no but I will say who does need new material. developers of games like Uncharted.
The Uncharted Movie exists. It's called Uncharted 1-4.
ding!
one can literally just watch a lets play and its almost exactly like watching a long movie.
a bad movie but a movie none the less
Yup. Wouldn't be surprised if you actually play the game for more than 30% of the time you are sitting in front of it.
@mrbojangles25: @tryit:
Did you guys even attempt to answer the damn question? Or was this just a reason to spread some more of that ridiculous haterade? Y'all never even played it!

Yes, I did play it. Got the edition with the first three and number 4 at work, played it for an hour at work every night after my shift, four nights a week, just to see what all the hype was about.
Ended up getting a good nap in a lot of that time.
@mrbojangles25:
Does someone pay you to talk shit, mr. B? We both know you never played it! Who you trying to fool?!

If they do make a movie, I hope they leave out Drake's obnoxious brother. He totally ruined U4 with his whining.
@henrythefifth: I totally agree with you, Drakes brother Sam is a whiny biatch. ****Spoiler alert about Uncharted Lost Legacy***** do not read if you haven't played it yet.
Sam is in it too
Funny. You can always tell who are younger gamers when they call Uncharted a movie game. That is not a movie game. It's a game centered around a narrative that's single player.
You want movie games check out the 90's with 3DO, Sega CD, etc... those were movie games.
@Telekill:
The new generation of gamers have the attention span of a rodent. They can't stand sitting through a 2 minute cutscene between levels because it's like, years to them. And what's to expect? All they play nowadays are fucking online Multiplayer games 24/7. God forbid a game comes with a narrative!
@nepu7supastar7: OMG, your post totally cracked me up, it's so true, it's because the young people today have grown up with the internet, and all the phone devices, it's overstimulation to the system, that is why so many have ADHD, they have no patience.
Imagine putting them in the 50's when there was only radio, no TV, no smart phone, no Google, no internet, no over stimulation, they would be committing suicide if they went back to those times
I'm not in love with the idea of a "prequel" but if they're going that way I can see Tom Holland working in that role, so I suppose I'm ok he's officially cast now.
Now we know Shawn Levy will direct. Considering he has both the Night at the Museum films AND Arrival under his belt - not to mention Stranger Things - I have solid confidence he can handle the range of action, humor, drama and dialogue well.
Now I find out Matthew Carnahan has written the screenplay. He did World War Z so I know he can write a coherent story but listening to his interviews and reading some of the transcripts has me very worried. He keeps talking about all the big set pieces and chases and action in shootouts and not once does he mention the puzzles or the intricate traps and the entire Indiana Jones angle that is at the heart of Uncharted's adventures. Where are the lost civilizations, the mysterious artifacts and the lessons Drake learns from these places and their histories?
If we have to wait even longer to get a better screenplay I'm gonna rip my hair out but this does not give me hope. It just sounds like another forgettable action movie. I hope I'm wrong about the script.
