Ok, I'm a casual gamer, depending on my schedule I'm on the higher end of the scale. I originally looked into Vista when it came out. I saw that it didn't play well with most games, so I just ignored it until now. Over a year laterthe SP1 is out and it is being patched. Now I'm wondering if I should upgrade my main Gaming PC to Vista, but how well does Vista play/get along with games? The main reason I'm asking is because I had to update my Graphics card, and bought an NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT XXX Alpha Dog edition. Most of my research pulls back articles form Feb of 07 that scream how bad Vista is even with the directX 10 update.

Questions:

  1. Does Vista play well with most new released games? (Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty 4, This should be a yes, but who knows)
  2. Does Vista play well with older games? (Diablo II, Half Life, Civ III)
  3. Does Vista have much effect on MMO games? (TR, COX, AOC)
  4. Known Vista and Gaming issues (large or small)?
  5. How does it stand up to games today with SP1, is it worth upgrading?

Thanks to everyone who has any input, and sorry for the long intro.

All comments, questions, and opinions are welcome.

Now, let the discussions begin!!!!
