What was your first game that you gave up on?

What was your first game that you tried to finish, but failed and you just gave up.

My first game that I gave up on was proably Super Mario N64, but a couple years later I came back and beat it. :)

LoZ-Ocarina of Time and Ninja Gaiden for NES- That was sooo hard!!

I think Eve of Extinction, I got to this part where you had to get across a lake. I tried like 100x and then finally gave up on the game.

Clock Tower

Mega Man 7. The final boss was a bastard, and i just couldn't beat him at the time.

Advance Wars 2. The last mission was a pain (and Sturm was a bastard in general with the most broken stats EVER) and I basically gave up. Never beaten it even to this day.

XBox version of Ninja Gaiden ... unless you count not beating Mortal Kombat: Deception with EVERY character.

Megaman 3, Ecco The Dolphin, Sonic 3 (stupid barrel from Carnival Night) and Kid Chameleon.

BTW I did beat Sonic 3 once I figured out that obstacle when I bought the Sonic Mega Collection.

It's been so long I can't even remember. However, with a lot of the games I played as a kid and gave up on, I eventually got my own copies and then finished them.

FFX. That was because I never used the Sphere Grid lol.

First game I actually gave up on was probably Clay Mates on the SNES. Great game, very fun once you get into it. I need to give it another play to finally finish it off, got stuck in the last level as a child, some mad scientists circus or something.

Ocarina of Time. Just couldn't do it, too boring =(..

Ninja gaiden on nes I couldn`t beat level 3 boss only 3 hits left to beat him and he always kils me.

idk most of the games I gave up on before I ended up beating but I have yet to complete ninja gaiden on the xbox my disc ended up getting scratched my my stupid 360 plus it was fustrating as hell so thats one game I never completed

Pokemon Red Version. I kept playing it and giving up then starting all over a few months later.

FFX. I realized I was watching a movie.

Like acouple of others stated, Ocarina of Time. It stands out because of it's reputation and the fact that it (my indiffrence toward the game) marked a sabbatical into actual human interaction for me. Not to worry though, I've been subsequently re-addicted to what really matters, videogames. Still, no drive to finish OoT.

Clash at Demon Head I got it when i was like 5 and I hadn't been able to beat it till I played it again at like age 18.

i think it was total recall for the nes , if memory serves, there were so many ridiculously hard nes games

Banjo Kazooie. When I was little, that game scared the crap outta me!

Legend of Zelda:Majora's Mask. I finished it eventually though.

I have never given up on a game just but it down for a little while I beat Ninja Gaiden so there arn't to many games harder than that so I can handle anything

Donkey Kong 64, when the battery on it died when I was like 2 b ananas away from beating it 100% I never beat it again, I still casually dabble here and therebut Im always afraid to commit myself to it againin fear that the battery will die and erase my save again.

bio-hard battle but when i was like 8 i've play it co-op with my older brother and finished it

also alien 3 but i gave it a shot in 2005 and yub i beated that game. still hard though

I think it was Raiden on the Turbografx-16. That's a hard game when you're 4(or any age, for that matter, I still can't beat it 10 years later...XD)! D=

I think Castlevania 64 was the first I gave up on as a tyke. But I am going to finish it sooner or later now that years have passed and the old 64 is looking more enticing than ever before...
