To me, Im thinking Legacy Of Kain: Blood Omen. Whats yours?

It is a crime punishable by law for Alundra to not get the 'Best of' nod. Shame on you all. :P Then again, it's more Zelda-like than RPG like.....no EXP...just lots of item collection, world exploration and puzzle-solving to get elements (life, magic, etc) maxed out, and items needed to progress in the game.
Brave Fencer Musashi. hands down and you're all dismissed.GreyskullPower
I have to disagree. The only thing good about BFM was the FF8 demo that came with it. Not to discount your opinion, because I have a lot of friends that would agree with you, it just wasn't my cup of tea. I'll have to agree with the majority here and say SotN.

Would have to put Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver first... But Blood Omen is a close second.

You know, thinking about it, wasn't Musashi ridiculously short? :|
Star Ocean 2: Second Story.
I actually like Symphony of the Night more, but Star Ocean 2 is more of an action RPG than SotN is, IMO, so I chose that instead.

again, I never really thought of Soul Reaver as an RPG based title... mainly because I thought it was more of a platformer/puzzler. I might be wrong though, nontheless.[QUOTE="RaZoR_RaiN"][QUOTE="Temps567"]

I might be wrong though, nontheless. It had a great story, plenty of dialogue between characters, and significant character development. However, it was more action oriented in the way you controlled the main character. There were puzzles, a large open world... It certainly fits my definition of an action RPG.
I know that there are people who need to see some type of levelling system and an extensive weapons inventory for a game to qualify as any type of RPG, but I classify action RPG's differently.
Opinions vary I guess... :)
