My top three are almost comfort games - they're something I'll dig out when I just feel like relaxing, when I want to relive the memories of playing them for the first time.
Not sure what order I'd put them in, but I replay Fallout 2, Chrono Trigger, and Baldur's Gate 2 an awful lot. Fallout 2 and Baldur's Gate 2 I can easily justify by playing as different characters (which makes a larger difference in Fallout 2's experience), but Chrono Trigger is just 100% nostalgia for me, since it's like rewatching a movie in that the game is exactly the same every time you play it.
It is mercifully short for a JRPG, though, with very little padding. That's one of the reasons right there, I guess.
The games I go back to the most are Silent Hill 2, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and Half-Life 2.
I replay Silent Hill 2 for nostalgia mostly, it was the game that got me into the Survival Horror genre and it is such a great overall experience even if some of the gameplay mechanics have since become dated. MGS3 is like a good movie that you watch once a year, one that you never get tired of watching.
Half-Life 2 because it is just a great game, the variety and breadth of its gameplay is just amazing, you can go from plowing through Combine in a dune buggy, to storming a prison with a small army of Antlions, all within the space of an hour.
1 WoW It infected my soul
2 Warcraft 3
4 Timespliter, always fun to own all your friends at a birthday party, heck I once took two of them vs me and I won lol
Hmmm...I have a philosophical question with regards to this topic. Is it really fair to count games that can not truly be finished? I guess that's a matter of how you define a "completeable" game. Anyway, it just occurred to me that that might be an interesting spin to explore.
My games were:
Max Payne
Need for Speed: Porsche Unleased
and Icewind Dale
- Vr/Gull.
Most replayed games for me:
Ultima 7, Syndicate, Halo, Jagged Alliance 1&2, Theme Hospital, Simcity 2&3, C&C, Civilization 1 & 3, Privateer
Woah!! Just a top three... Man that`s going to be a tough one for me because I`ve played so many Snes and Genesis games over and over and over again. Also I`ve played alot of fighting and racing games like crazy. Anyway my top three are......
Strider.
Super Mario World. (yes almost as equel as Mario 3 for me)
Now it`s a multi tie between these games. Super Metroid, Zelda ALTTP, Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Sonic 1, Revenge of Shinobi, Castlevania SOTN, Forza, Ace Combat 2, Streets of Rage, TMNT in Time, Ghouls n Ghost, Halo CE, Tekken 2, F-zero, Wipeout XL, Axley, Crazy Taxi, Powerstone, Soul Calibur, Street Fighter Alpha 2, Sega GT 2002, Gran Tourismo 3....etc.
Anyway yall get the idea. I`m a huge game freak.
3. Super Smash Bros. Melee - One of my favourite games, I replay it mostly to get all of the trophies, I just think the game is amazing
2. Metal Gear Solid 1,2 and3 - Trying to do it on every difficulty - I absolutely hate the torture scenes because I am rubbish at button mashing
1. Fire Emblem (GBA) - i absoutely love this game, I'm currently trying to get every support conversation.
Answer me this, do MMOs count?
If so then clearly Everquest and Final Fantasy XI and then Starcraft.
Otherwise...
1.) Perfect Dark : I literally have 4 days logged in as my deathmatch character plus playing the main game. A solid 150+ hours of replaying.
2.) Super Smash Bros Brawl : Pretty close, probably a solid 4 days of play time, maybe more. I forgot.
3.) Chrono Trigger : I've replayed that game at least 5 times.
Honorable Mentions
Super Double Dragon : Must have beaten that a good two dozen times at an hour or so per play
Fighting Force : Probably beat that a good dozen or so times, 2+ hours each.
Games I seem to never get bored of:
1. Tetris Attack/Pokemon Puzzle League/Planet Puzzle League
2. Fighting games: Street Fighter Third Strike, Garou Mark of the Wolves, Capcom VS SNK 2, Samurai Shodown V-VI, etc.
3. New Super Mario Bros.
Honorable Mentions: Starcraft, Company of Heroes, Sim City 3000-4

Max Payne is also a title I replayed quite a few times along with Half Life 2.
