few shots from Fallout 4 on PS4. It's a bit last gen on the looks dept, but it has its moments...

@henrythefifth Wow well done on getting this thread stickied. Makes me want to take screenshots and upload them.
Son of a bitch. Was my own fault for ignoring V-trigger or alternatively just letting the timer drip down. Derp.
Lesson learned.
I was never a picture taking type person, seems an awful lot of trouble just to post a pic of something people glaze over once and move on to the next. Now if people could post high resolution wallpaper sized ones that could be useful to have a supply of desktop wallpapers from in game screens. There's a few other forums where they have screenshot threads stickied.
Fallout 4 deserves some criticism on the looks. It uses same textures and items all over the map, which makes the map feel rather samey all round. Way, way too few different tree models too, and other plants, which makes the woods and meadows very artificial and dull looking. Water is very old too, and same with human skins, very last gen. As are human and creature animations, especially human facial animations.
Its also rather sad to watch human npcs first turn in spot, then step forward, like some badly programmed robots. That's some bad animation and no mistake!
The game only really differs from F3 and N Vegas in that it uses richer colours and has superior light quality. Apart from that, its the same old game engine really...
@henrythefifth: Fair enough, I actually found FO3 really mucky with its color palette to an almost unplayable level.
Fallout 4 isn't the best looking game though, that's for sure. And Bethesdas classic problems are in the latest installment. Guess I liked the improved shooting in FO4.
Its Christmas time in Fallout 4! This is the third christmas I've seen in it, as I've been playing it quite a lot ever since it launched. Although not as much as F3 or NV, of which I love.
@henrythefifth: Yup, with a bunch of mods installed of course
I thought so. It looks markedly different from the basic PS4 version I'm playing. Do you have super powerful gaming PC?

Not that i know of, im not that knowledged in hardware, but it runs most games pretty good.
I would say semi powerful
If you really want to take good screenshots, PC is the best option and it wont cost you a million to make a computer capable of running games on the highest setting
@henrythefifth: Heres hoping the fallout series gets better at animation and graphical fidelity. I've yet to buy fallout 4 on PS4 yet. Had it on PC and it certainly helped being able to up settings to help improve visuals.
Will eventually grab this on PS4.

I really, really like F4. It is, in its simple way, very entertaining game. And the map has massive amount of little places to explore. Ive been at it for about 300 hours, give or take, and I'm still finding new places on the map!
However, when I play it, I do get a feel Bethesda did not try their best. If they had tried their best, F4 would now look like Witcher 3, with animations to match.
@henrythefifth: A a game to play it is great and you get plenty of playtime out of it. but visuals and perhaps even originality its gotten very tired even from the get go.
I look forward to what ever is next inline. if we ever see a next in line.

They do need to add diversity to quests, that's for sure. In F4, most quests are either fetch quests (get that item) or kill quests (kill all supermutants at place X). It is rather repetitive and tedious to do continuous fetch quests.
New Vegas is my fave Fallout because there the quests were diverse, and required diverse skills from your character.
I wish they gave us sneaking, stealing and stealth quests too in the next Fallout, like they did in Skyrim and Oblivion. Fallout also has sneak and stealth skills, so why not give missions where you are required to utilise these skills...
@henrythefifth: oblivion was fantastic, last bed every bit of it as well as the expansions.
Now they seem to be stuck in that realm in terms of visual fidelity if that's the word to use.
Will try to post some screen shots when I can.
Nier Automata on Ps4. Do not let these shots fool ya, most of the game looks like it's been ripped from Vita.
