if i got a ps2 i would probably only get it for some final fantasy games and god of war 1 and 2. is it worth it? and if you have any game suggestions for it that would be appreciated.
Click the ps1 and ps2 in my sig and you will see a ton of reasons to get one. Yo and I have been cruising Ebay the last couple of days and I have seen ps2 consoles going for 25$ shipping with no reserve on the bidding and this one guy has like 50 consoles lol. Look for the seller "SethPackard". (thats not me, I havent sold anything on ebay yet, i just buy hehehe)
I sold my PS2 about eight months ago along with about 18 games for $120 bucks and regret it. Its not really the games I let go that bother me as I can pretty much get them for $5 to $10 bucks a pop its just those certain games I cant play with my XBOX 3360 that I miss. Like Hot Shots golf. MLB 08 etc. For this reason I am going to buy another PS2 next month. If the PS3 were sold right now, bare bones with no memory or a blue ray player I would drop $200 for it. Its too bad they dont sell it like that.
yes its worth every penny, especially for just God of War lol. also get Final Fantasy X, Kingdom Hearts, Shadow of the Colossus, Phantasy Star Universe, ICO, Guitar Hero, Rogue Galaxy, Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, and sooo many more

With all PS2 games and PS1 games combined there are 18,000 titles to choose from...and there are a lot of awesome games but I really don't know your tastes. If you like RPG's though, I would say it's definitely worth it.
It will probably be the best console ever made in the context of it's time, thats partly due to the fact that it never had any real competition. The one thing that let it down was poor online capabilities.
