The economy have an effect in alot of way, how we spend on stuffs that we want and need. With PS3/Xbox 360 games cost around $60.00 ( with tax) these days and some people aren't buying a new for that prices. Some of them do but some of them won't but most gamers that I see at my local Gamestop buy used games then new games. Pluse a new game say like NCAA Football 10 is brand new and some one return it back for store credits, that same game will cost $10.00 down around $49.99, I like to buy new game that are out right now but I only buy used games that I miss out. Like I brought Need For Speed: Most Wanted for Xbox 360 for $10.00 used and Crackdown new for $18.00 because it was on sale and it was nerve open. Pluse there are some Xbox 360/PS3 games that are $30.00, but still people will buy games for $60.00 even with the econmy is in bad shape.

What's your point? I've been buying used games at GameStop since the days of the N64.

new games, especially for the PS3/360 can cost a small fortune.

here in the UK they can cost up to £45, thats close to 70 US$.

before, PS2 games used to cost £30-£35 maximum.

with games as expensiveas they are, if a used game is in good condition, then its a good alternative, since in this time, any savingwe make with our money counts

It really depends on persons budget. If someone is working full time and has a little extra left over at the end of the month then ya they may want to get a new game for their console of consoles with the exact oposite being true for someone on a limited budget. However it really boils down to what game or games a person is looking for. Some games can be only found used and not new espesically for the older consoles.

i just wont buy new games anymore unless its a day 1 must have or a series i really love. it just isnt worth it. especially with the varying amount of gaming per dollar, where some games go for 100 hours, others for 10, yet both cost the same price.

How can anyone possibly justify buying a new game? The used version is at least 30% cheaper at sites like gamestaq.com or gamefly.com.....Even gamestop's used prices are not worth it at only $5 off.

If its a must have game that I know I'm going to keep in my library for a while (like MW2), then I dont mind buying it new. In fact I enjoy it. For other games that are not so high up on my list, I'll pickup used.

I don't want my country to have econmy that revloes around my buying games. The fast it dies, the faster a better one can take its place.
