Didn't they do this when the SNES was actually new? I though Mortal Kombat II and Killer Instinct had online options.

How would playing a SNES game online even work? There are no online features on the games themselves.

Its multilayer thru the Internet one person is controller 1 and the other is controller 2 with each others controller presses sent to each others SNES's both playing the same game via the internet. Some emulators actually allow you to do this.

Interesting, but way better off just using an emulator for online.  The annoying thing is you need the exact rom copy which each rom has like ten thousand versions...

Which ones? I've never heard of this, before. I've heard of Satellaview, which was a service where you could "rent" SNES games for a time period, via the internet; but I've never heard of SNES games with online play.

Pointless really. And for those that actually lived during that time, would know damn well NO BODY (console gamers) even cared or heard of online gaming, let alone the games even having that feature.

Those German guys have way too much time in their hands.Â
