Should i buy an XBOX 360 in 2017?

Now i never owned a XBOX before but i was thinking of buying one. The only reason why i wan't to buy one is my friend has one and i was thinking we could play some online games like, Black Ops 2, Advance Warfare, and more but is it really worth it? or should i just save my money on other things.

@erenbird: 360, like the PS3 are still gaming machines that hold up pretty well from a game library point-of-view.

If you can grab a 360 that's not likely to RROD you in the near future? It'll have plenty of games to enjoy. And from my knowledge Microsoft hasn't pulled the plug yet on 360s online services just yet to look into download only games as well.

Just don't expect to find many in the gaming lobbies for death matches.

If the only reason is to play online with your friend then yes, you could probably get one extremely cheap and plenty of people still use a 360. Of course, it would be useless for playing anything recent.

Yes, get it. It has many great exclusives such as Forza Horizon and Gears of War series. It is also the best machine to play las gen games, since it tends to run games faster than Ps3. With better draw distance. I know as I've owned both consoles. It also has excellent controller, probably the best controller ever made. And I say this as PS4 owner.

The Microsoft "Red Ring of Death" Xbox sucks.

Yes it offers a lot of cheap games more than Xbox One and ps4 plus there's still some new games coming out like Madden and WWE

ya if your friend has one and wants to play online with you go for it. Its hard to know how much longer they will support xbox 360 online gameplay so may as well use it while you can. These yearly release online shooters don't stay online that long, especially COD games, they give up support for them pretty fast.

why not get a ps3 (if u havent got one)? better exclusives, all the 3rd party stuff and online for free

Yup.. its def worth picking one up.. Get one of the slims if you do, the original fat white 360s are bad. Its a good time to play because you can find tons of games for good prices now. Same with PS3

Yes, it has tons of exclusives that the Xbox One is not backwards compatible with. Also, if you get the right model it will not like rrod.

Well, I dunno if the whole Red Ring of Death thing is still there. You should think about that before getting one.
