Shivering Isles Retail Disc Question

My library has some 360 games. One of them is the retail disc version of the Shivering Isles for Oblivion. Can I get it and download it to my hard drive and keep it, or do I have to have the disc to use it? It would be great if I could just download it for free and then return it. Thanks for any help.

You need the disc to use it,most likely.

More than likely, you will have to keep the disc.

There is a version of Oblivion with all dlc on disc for like $20. Maybe less now.
