I'm actually kinda excited for this. By the time it is out, I'll have played 4 Yakuza games without zombies. It couldn't hurt to try something different.

and after it comes out in Japan everyone else will get it over a year after that, which is bad timing since Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft will be distracting everyone with their brand new consoles... I know Sega's finally (but slowly) getting their crap back together and all on the publishing side, but they need to localize the western version in tandem with the Japanese one

Toshihiro Nagoshi can officially do whatever he wants. He created the Yakuza series, he created Super Monkey Ball, and he worked with Miyamoto on F-Zero GX. He also contributed to Shenmue, Daytona USA, Phantasy Star Online, and Sonic Advance 3. He is one of the top directors/producers in this industry. If he thinks Yakuza is ready for a zombie game, I'll follow merrily along.

The trailer is up on the Japanese PSN store. After watching it, I have no concerns. It looks like it will be hilarious and badass at the same time.

l ryo ga gotoku kenzan was awsome. i like these little over the top spinoffs.

granted i would prefer a yakuza 5 but hey whatever. WE CAN PUNCH ZOMBIES
