so I've noticed that some people seem to think MS-DOS computers only had Adventure games, FPS and strategy games back in the day, well I want to prove that couldn't be further from the truth, for this thread however I'll focus only on platformers, i'll order them by year. Now i'm going to count games from 1989 to 1995 ((arguably Sega Genesis' life cycle before the saturn came along))

1989:

Rick Dangerous

1990:

Commander Keen in Invasion of the Vorticons

Rick Dangerous 2

Captain Comic 2

1991:

Dark Ages

Keen Dreams

Commander Keen in Goodbye Galaxy

Commander Keen in Aliens ate my babysitter

Duke Nukem

Baby Jo

1992:

Cosmo's cosmic Adventure

Jill of the Jungle

Jill goes underground

Jill Saves the prince

Risky Woods

Titus the Fox

1993:

Duke Nukem 2

Bio Menace

Monster Bash

Xargon

Blues Brothers 2

Captain Dynamo

Dizzy Prince of the yolk Folk

Flashback

fury of the Furries

James Pond 2

Prehistoric 2

1994:

Alladin

Jazz jackrabbit

Lion King

Hocus Pocus

Cool Spot

1995:

Earthworm Jim

Jazz Jackrabbit Holiday Hare

Oh man, Bio Menace! I used to have the shareware version, that game was great! I didn't know it was freeware now, I need to replay it!

Earthworm Jim! My best friend had that - we'd always restart just so we could launch the cow over and over. Good times...

DOS PCs had some of the best platformers around, especially Commander Keen. Love that game. Thanks for the list! More for me to try out :D

This is a great list, some of these I've never heard of but will definitely check out.
