I know it's still a FPS with modern type weapons but the general direction they are going in with their new BF game is fantastic, it's about time one of the AAA devs who make the popular FPS games does SOMETHING different.

Should be very interesting and fun to play. That is all, no long drawn out speech.. just wanted to voice my opinion :)

I remain open to the idea as i tend to like the close quarter-type maps the most in BF. A part of me is afraid they are going to release games annually, and not have the resources to back them up..Dice has a lot on their plate right now, and I think there is a lot more work to be done with BF4 to be honest.

I do agree but honestly I'm so tired of the modern war FPS games I could care less about BF4 anymore.

Btw I accidently clicked on flag on your post instead of quote, sorry for accidently flagging you.

I am pretty excited. Not a modern war game, yes!! I still love the other battlefield games, but I love that they're doing something different.

I still need to see more of what they plan to do with an open city before I make any final conclusions. But I agree, the whole cops vs robbers battlefield type game is a cool direction to take the franchise.

I've heard that Visceral Games are doing single player & multiplayer. I'm cool with VG (Dead Space series) doing BF:Hardline, switch things up to be cops vs criminals/robbers instead of another modern military FPS game.
