Cool. I hope the Loco Roco/Patapon team has something original in the pipeline (though given that Loco Roco 2 and Patapon 2 havw already been announced and the team isn't all that big, I kind of doubt it). It may be unfair, but when a team offers two such kickbutt original games, I demand more of them than I do teams with less ambitious gameographies.

And Team Ico's new game is certain to be amazing and innovative (it doesn't seem like they know how to make games any other way).

I would really like it if Polyphony Digital did something radical. Sure Omega Boost was nothing to brag on, but it seems kind of a waste to simply churn out GT games.

Also, I would really love to see Dark Cloud 3 (I wasn't a big fan of 1, but 2 was amazing) but if Level 5 wanted to design something original I wouldn't complain too much though.

They're obviously saving the Japan-centric stuff for the show, because that list is a bomb waiting to happen. Guitar Hero 3? Metal Gear Online? Socom Confrontation? Resistance 2? HOME? The Japanese are going to laugh at those games. SF IV and Resident Evil will be big, of course. Gundam Musou 2 will be huge obviously, and the Naruto game should do well. It'll be interesting to see the Japanese reaction to LBP. Part of me thinks it will be big, while the other thinks it'll only appeal to Otakus.

The underlying stuff is what's exciting -- Team Ico project. Another Konami project, which almost HAS to be ZOE3, since Konami doesn't have many viable franchises left that it COULD be. Irem has to be R-Type. I think the unannounced stuff will be awesome.

ZOE 3 would be too much concentrated win in a single point, it would cave in on itself, creating a black hole that would destroy reality and time.

I saw a Japanese mag, I dont know if it was real, but it had ZOE3 in there with 3 tiny screenshots and it said something about crazy online battles with the mechs.

 If it is announced then it will give me time to complete ZOE2 which sadly has collected much dust >_>

But what the hell is: Sonic World Adventure, is that another name for Sonic Unleashed or something? :?

I wonder if they will show off the proper GT5. Prologue was rock solid, it just needed to be longer. GT5 will be amazing.

Here is a google translation of a site from the netherlands that has info on a PS3 exclusive JRPG from From Software called Demon's Souls.

Looks very pretty.

The online portion of Prologue sucked. I could never get into a game, I didnt know how to get into a game. Easily the worst online interface I've ever seen.

Edit: Demon Souls looks pretty. The look reminds me of Lair.

Which were both destroyed by broken end bosses and infuriatingly poorly designed escort missions.

Straight up truth. Otogi was broken garbage. I have no idea how people ever thought that game was any good. Between the escort crap and getting pegged off-screen from enemy fire, it was just absolute crap.

I never even gave the sequel a chance.

Did you play Immortal Warriors? IIRC there was only one escort mission and it wasn't all that tough. As for the bosses, what was broken about them (the only flaw I recall was some of them being too simple). I'm not saying Otogi's perfect, but the series' knock enemies around highly destructible environment mechanic was a fun variant of DMC's gameplay.

I actually did try the second game, on the high hopes they fixed those issues. Instead, they made the escort mission more annoying, and the end boss MORE broken. (he would even get turbo charged beyond normal if you did a certain mission near the end as well, in fact) They both had the potential to be great games, but those two common issues firmly held both games back. It's one thing to try and fail to resolve problems, it's another to go out of your way to not only fix them, but make them worse. That was when From Software started to lose me, Armored Core 4 just sealed the deal.

I didn't supercharge the end boss (I don't recall him being particular tough) and I didn't have that big a problem with the escort mission but I can't really defend either flaw. I just enjoyed the other bits (knocking demons into buildings) a heck of a lot more than I disliked the escort mission.
