It is because the art style, soundtrack and cutscenes are great. Plus no random battles.

It's a solid game overall. It isn't worth nearly the praise it receives, but its decent.

I've never liked it muchmyself, but everyone else seems to like it a lot. If you're really into JRPGs and it's cheap, I'd say go for it. =P

I disagree, I dont think it gets enough praise by the community. CC is one of my favorite games of all time, I dont know why but I got sucked into it more than any other game Ive played.

It got a perfect "10" on Gamespot (wrongfully, IMO), is that not praise enough?

Because overriding nostalgia of CT will always outshine CC. Different eras, different contemporaries. CC is lumped into the so-called Golden Age of PSX RPGs. CT has no such issues as it is generally regarded as being among the best of the 16-bit era RPGs.

Didnt the SNES have just as many RPGs as the PS though?

And I believe that CT fans were upset with CC because it didnt match any of the fond memories of CT. The two games are completely different and Im sure that pissed a lot of people off.

I dunno, but I always preferred CC over CT. The music especially was just excellent in CC.

There was a huge disconnect from the first game. The convoluted plot became nearly incoherent at times.

It's a good game, but I felt I was overwhelmed about how every decision you do makes a hard change in the story. Like characters and so on.

Finished the game for the first time last year and loved it. There's so many characters! and you cant get them all unless you play through twice.
