How come a good Vietnam War based first person shooter did not come out still?

Well this topic is primarily refering to a game that which consists a good Single Player expirience.... Sure Vietcong was a decent game also its expansion but a game way better capturing the brutal,emotional and densely packed action of this war coud'v been made! I see no reason for why developers aint intrested on this part of the theater of Human conflicts....

BTW :P GAME DEVELOPERS SHOULD NOT BE BAISED ... :P

Like some of you folks have said, it may be political given America's loss of the war. It's still a great opportunity to make a great war game.

there was men of valor on the original xbox, which wasn't that bad.

Well, Call of Duty: Black Ops is good. Its not mind blowing, nor is it terrible (as many SW pundits would have you believe).

Its technically not a Vietnam FPS though. About 2/3 of the game is fighting Russians in some 60's espionage, and a good amount of weapons aren't synonymous with the Vietnam War other then a few obvious ones like the AK and M16.

Still, its the closest you'll get to a good Vietnam single player shooter, but the outlandishness of it all made me consider it more of a violent James Bond type spy story then a true Vietnam game.

How? I played it on PC and I thought it was pretty fun, I mean, other then the no split screen it should be the same damn game with dedicated servers right?

Yea... I did actually enjoy Black Ops gameplay... it was some what deviated away from the usual COD scenario... and umm well it wasnt focused on the vietnam war... Im talking about a game based on this war it self :( Due to political reasons as stated above i dont think itll eva happen :(

cod black ops is the only game i know that goes to vietnam and actually not to bad but still could be way better because cod campaigns are not very good considering they are 5-6 hours long
