Hardes/Most Annoying Boss Fights Ever?

Mine would have to be Duriel from Diablo 2, first he was hard as hell (for me to kill) with lots of health, insane damage and he moved like a damn cheetah... then if you died it would bring you back to the town which would make you fight your way through a whole desert and then through a temple just to get back to him.

Either one of the Drakensang RPGs. You fight bosses that after you think you have won, they morph into another boss and you have to fight all over again.

Same thing with one boss in Dragon Age.

Mogenar from Metroid Prime 3 on Hypermode difficulty.

Hours. Upon HOURS. UPON HOURS. OF SHOOTING RECHARGING RED ORBS.

That stupid Tarantula was the most annoying boss I ever encountered. Granted I was 10 years old at the time and not very good at RPG's but this fight took me weeks (WEEKS !) to win.

Any boss that has minions attack you while you try to kill it or any boss that heals themselves.Smug_Duckling

Beating the boss in Ghost n Goblins to find out that you have to beat THE WHOLE GAME AGAIN!

The final boss from Prinny CIRBTH, my finger still hurts from mashing square so fast.

Pretty much any boss in which the odds are unfairly stacked against you. I like a challenge, but when a game just makes a boss ridiculous to fight, it makes me mad. Golbez after fighting the dolls in FFIV comes to mind...

I would have said Emerald Weapon, but that was when I was just trying to fightit with out the proper items. Any Ninja Gaiden Sigma2 boss on Mentor. The game is already cheap so... yeah.

i cant remember a boss battle which was hard except the final 1 on super smash bros brawl which is annoying :/

In recent memory, I'm going to lean towards annoying: Jill V. in Resident Evil 5. That was a pathetic excuse for a boss fight, if you could call it that. You basically have to pull some crap off her chest.flipin_jackass

It was seriously easy but it got annoying when you try to shoot the thing she squirms and you kill here lol.

Evrae (spelt wrong?) from FFX. Ugh i dont even want to think about it...

Also Chaos from Dissidia Final Fantasy. Took me at least 40 tries to beat him.

The boss for SSFIV I forget his name but wtf?? cheap *%£!...

Any boss from Ninja Gaiden 2, especially that bone things which picks you up and bones you against the wall killing you in one swoop ¬_¬.

The last boss in Conan on PS3 was terribly frustrating.

Most of the boss fights in Clive Barker's Jericho are annoying and difficult.

Scarlet boss fight in Silent Hill: Homecoming is really annoying too.

there were those 2 or 3 dragon looking things in ninja gaiden 2 ... they pissed me off sooooooo bad i smashed my controller...i tried like 20 times on the first day...

well, next day i bought a new controller and beat them in my first try...it was just one of those days

Pandemonium Warden and Absolute Virtue without a doubt, those guys take over 18 hours to kill. These bosses are from Final Fantasy 11.

That looks fun. And here was I thinking Ikaruga was the hardest game I've ever played... damn Japanese shmups.

I always remember the final boss in the first ratchet and clank to be the hardest. I played the whole game but never got past it.

That swarm on Resistance 2 got me numerous times. And it wasn't hard but The End on MGS3 took me forever to beat.

Geese Howard from the SNK games was a very annoying boss to take on. In fact, some of the bosses in an SNK game are completely ridiculous. They would throw out the rule book and be just aggravating at all times. It would take me a couple of hours until I finally nailed such a boss in both rounds.

Also, I had a tough time against Zeromus in Final Fantasy II (IV really).

Not really a Boss, but the two Bia's (Scorpion-like things) on God Hard in Vanquish took me several hours to beat and when I finally beat them it took like 5 minutes.

It was ANNOYING because it really wasn't that hard it basically just required you to be lucky a lot of the time.

Still Vanquish was a VERY under-appreciated game for this year. I'm not normally a fan of that style of Japanese game, but I loved both Bayonetta and Vanquish.....first time I've played back to back SEGA games in YEARS.

I can't believe no one has mentioned the last boss of "Prinny: Can I Really Be The Hero?". That one is impossible without hacks.

The most annoying one I can think of right now would be the final boss of FF3 on the NES. It takes about 2 hours to get to the boss if you fight all of the random encounters on the way, and there's no save point before the boss. The boss itself has only one attack, which is a wave attack that hits the entire party for something like 1000+ damage per person.

It basically acts like a level cap, and nothing more than that. Either you have the health and white mages to survive the hits, or you die and restart the 2 hour dungeon. I think I levelled up about 8 times on the way through the dungeon (ended around lvl 55) and got beaten when it was within 2 attacks from death. It is such a poorly designed final battle that I'll probably never finish the game because of it.

Majora's Incarnation. It wasn't hard at all. In fact, it was rather funny and amusing in the first few seconds you fight it.

But then it starts to do the moon walk. And then it makes chicken noises. If you look close enough, you can see it pull off a trollface during battle.

Goddammit.
