I was just looking around my room and low and behold I find my old PSOne :O I even found the cables so I was going to get a few games for it. What are some of the best games that aren't on the PS Store?

depends where you live, different regions have different games on PSN.
for instance the US PSN has Castlevania SOTN, the PAL one does not.
doom, chrono cross, persona, fear effect, soul reaver, mortal kombat trilogy, parasite eve 2, tomba, tenchu, diablo, and a lotta jrpgs...the verison of resident evil on the psn(dualshock) has a different(inferior imo) soundtrack than the normal/directors cut verisons,

you do realize you can have multiple PSN accounts right? You just need a different email address.
but anyways. PS1 games you gotta have are Gran Turismo2, Ace Combat 2, Spiderman, and the first 3 twisted metal games. and there are quite a few games on the PSN that you can buy much cheaper on disk. I almost never pay $6.99+ for a ps1 game on disc.

yes I know that, but there is an issue here. any PS3 games/demos a PAL gamer will download from the US PSN , will most likely work on a PAL PS3, as they don't have region protection. however, the old PS1 games are still region locked, and so would not work on a PAL PS1 (and likewise any PAL PS1 game you download , will not work on your US PS3). see the problem?[QUOTE="Talldude80"][QUOTE="Darkman2007"]

I think the region lockouts are only using actual ps1 discs.
The Legend of Dragoon
Chrono Cross
Mega Man X 4 and 5 *pretends X6 does not exist*
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series
Soul Blade
Marvel vs Capcom
Bushido Blade 1 and 2

you might be right, though it would seem strange to me that they would actively take out the region lockout .
the issue here then , is that for a US gamer, getting a PAL PS1 game would be difficult because of the 50/60hz situation.
I can confirm from expereience that the majority of PS1 (and indeed most other pre Dreamcast ) games, over here are not properly optimized, and even some of the optimized games are not that well done.
those kind of games would be fine, but for the optimized games, they would be unplayable on a US TV (unless you find a way to display 50hz on your TV)
correct me if Im wrong, but as far as I know, most US TVs will not support 50hz (while most PAL TVs that are not 20 years will support 60hz to an extent)
Breath of Fire IV
I sold that game when I was younger and have never seen another copy ever. Why aren't you on the PS Store!? WHY!?
"CHRONO CROSS" on the PSOne was notoriously, game-crashingly buggy. Not a good suggestion. I have the following which will probably never come out but there's always hope:
Strider 2
Star Gladiator
Ehrgeiz (the arcade mode gets a lot of hate but I love it)
Pretty much any Megaman game
