My second compter, and primary developing computer. And like any programmer with a bag of tricks, Felix the cat sits over the monitor, making sure that my programming is hellish.

Then you obviously haven't seen the NES PC
I've also seen cases made out of Lego.
All the guy really did with the NES PC was to clean out the inside of the NES, buy a mini mobo and disc drive and cram it in there more or less. Not too hard if you have even just an amateur's knowledge of computer hardware.

About the price you'd pay new for it in Japan. I got it used though, along with a couple of games, a voltage converter and some component cables. Living in Europe it also doubles as a DVD player as Japan uses similar DVD standards as we do.
