Space flight sims - would love to see a "Tie Fighter" sequel on consoles (but I'd miss the joystick)

Turn-based strategy games - Civilization Revolution was fantastic and sold well, I'd love a sequel and other games like it, or even more complex games like the PC Civ games. Worms is also a great series & shows the genre can work on consoles.

Sim/god games - games like Sim City (I loved the SNES version), "tycoon" games (if done well), and games like "Game Dev Story". Some of them would be great XBL/PSN arcade downloads.

MMO's - Obvious choice, but not likely to happen.

JRPG's - what happened to this genre? Square needs a reboot.

I'd like to see a vs multiplater hack & slash- I used to love playing Lord of the Rings: Conquest(for all 14 months it was online) because when you have to get in your enemy's face and really square off, it's so much more exciting than being shot to death seemingly at random from 200 yards away.

Maybe more action, or beat 'em up...I don't know the right term for that type of game.

Platformers like the NES and SNES days

I'd also like to see the return of collect-a-thons, like Donkey Kong 64 and Banjo-Kzooie

I would also like more horror games. As of now I see a lot of multiplayer competition almost everywhere.

I second that. I'm hoping that games like Destiny and Elder Scrolls Online will burst the door wide open for other open world RPGs to enter.

Not really sure. I kind of like the landscape the way it is. I have pretty distinct "console" games, and pretty distinct "PC" games. I'm more interested in the setting, tone, art direction and the like.

I'd like to see the shooter market shift back toward sci-fi rather than modern military stuff.

I'd like to see more superhero games of quality. Spider-man needs a game that does for him what the Arkham games did for Batman.

I love open world games, but I wish we could get a few that try something truly different. Don't really even need to change the mechanics much, just the setting. Games like Red Faction Guerilla did a great job of using tried and true mechanics like driving and shooting, but done in an interesting sci-fi theme.

I dunno. I guess what I'd really like more of is just surprise. I want something that I wasn't expecting to catch me unaware and make me love it.

Scary games. We seem to be getting more of them coming out now not he indie scene with both consoles. Even Slender is on it's way now. But I would still like to try the original Amnesia as well.

Beat 'em ups/hack 'n slash and some what Platformers, it feels very lacking on any non-Nintendo system.

Adventure/puzzle and better/different driving games.

Strategy, Sim and God games.

We all need a bit more of these.
