For me, the ghost recon series should have continued to GRAW 3 (PC) instead what it is now.
I beat GRAW 1 and 2, and there are very few good military sim shooters nowadays. People like games that are easy sadly.

F.E.A.R. 2 everything about it is a downgrade from the original game it's my most disappointing sequel of all time.
Games whose sequels gone wrong
Resident Evil 6- Wanted to be everything in one package and failed to excel at anything.
D00M III- Tech demo with horrid level design, enemy placement, and terrible gun-usage.
Metal Gear Solid V- Bloated openworld mess in a series that fits a linear approach.
Street Fighter V- Weird physic glitches and bare boned offerings made it a pain to see how rushed it was.
God of War: Ascension- Shocked this didn't kill the franchise, a multiplayer focused GoW game?
CastleVania: Lords of Shadow (both)- where do i begin with these? . .
Super Mario Sunshine- Frustrating, repetitive, and restrictive controls that conflict the games level design.
Little Big Planet 3- Absolute mess! Thanks Sumo Digital for killing Sackboy
*I could name more but this is getting depressing. . .
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 - What a garbage JRPG compared to Xenoblade 1 and Xenoblade X. Almost everything in this game should be dumped in the landfill never to be rediscovered. Almost everything cause the combat unluckily was good.
Suikoden Tierkreis - Konami decided to expand on suikoden multiverse lore as in Suikoden 3 where there is 2 Viki you can recruit and that they actually from a different universe (maybe) but the result is well, meh. Game is not terrible but very bland and its made for Nintendo console where 3rd party will forever struggle and prove to be the end of Suikoden in west.
MGS Peace Walker & Portable ops - Played it on PSP and the controls were just horrible as fk. How was the games gets reviewed so well and how did they figure out the controls. Still reach the ending boss battle in Peace Walker and it was actually quite awesome.
Resistance 2 had a weird cliffhanger. Killing off the protagonist in the sequel of a trilogy was baffling.
@sakaixx:
I absolutely loved "Portable Ops".
It was the best MGS game that I played. I loved the story and I almost beat it.
It is a master piece in my opinion. How could you have hated it?
F.E.A.R. 2
So true, Thats is the only FEAR game that I didnt beat. I just got so bored of it.
I beat all Fears, its expansions, mods (such as Fear: Brute Force) and played a lot of Fear Combat (its multiplayer).
D00M III
I havent played it much, but it did seem to deviate from the core type of gameplay.
Luckily, Doom 2016 was explosive and Doom eternal is going to be much better.
what weird physics glitches are you talking about?
2nd player breast physics come to mind, not sure how you could have missed pink Chun Li's breasts darting about to defy gravity which the developer even noted was an engine glitch_
As well as hair overall, one of many reasons Necalli looked stupid. Hair flow looks like it came from an early 360 launch title.
However yes it clearly has come a long way since the launch, yet it's clearly the launch I'm referring to.
D00M 2016 was great, and was a huge supporter pre-release, while most was favoring Fall Out 4. Could have been shorter to weed out its repetitive closed-waves, didn't care for the Robot guy either. Otherwise I'm glad it was made, good shooter that had a clear focus.
Eternal I'm not really excited for, looks like it's having identity issues. I think it'll be a good game, yet also seems bombastically ridiculous even for D00M. I'll just grab the D64 port because it's an overlooked classic.
@RSM-HQ: My bad, I thought you were talking about the physics in the gameplay area of things, didn't even think of the visuals. Yeah I remember the breast physics and last I played (a few months ago) Ken still had his blonde hair clipping through his upper body.
How about Dead Space 3? They took away the survival horror aspect of the game and made it more action based.

GRAW was already very different from what Ghost Recon started as: the console versions were already third person shooters and the PC versions were linear urban combat and they were made by low budget developer Grin AB, so they had a lot of problems. Still I would love a GRAW 3, I am starved for tactical shooters, which is why I am eagerly awaiting Ready or Not.

Capcom generally pride themselves on gameplay so I never questioned how mechanically solid a game would be.
When they fail, it's usually in other areas, sometimes all of those other areas to a degree it's difficult appreciating the gameplay.
Surprise, surprise. No one ever mentioned Mass Effect Andromeda!!
Maybe nobody expected it to be a good game in first place but only to turned out much worse than they anticipated.
I know shouldn't mentioned this but Final Fantasy XV. Square-Enix is heading to hell for this. While not a sequel to begin with but I'm expecting Final Fantasy VII Remake to be a crap as well.
@Black_Knight_00: I dont think they know how to make good games anymore.
Siege was disappointing.
Twisted Metal 3 was kind of a bummer.
Twisted Metal 2 on the PSX was great! want it?!
Addictive as hell.

Siege was disappointing.
I don't even want to remember that R6 Siege exists.

Lol. Raibow six was so good..
I also have the book ;)
Mirrors edge tried to put the sequel into an open world format and didn't work in my opinion.
I want also to mention all the awful sequels that came after BFBC2, and I think a lot of people would agree.
Although, I did enjoy BF4 ;)
