Dose anyone played Rage 1 before? Is it a good game?

I'm interested in Rage 2, it seems like a good wasteland type game. But 1 seems so so, can anyone share some suggestions?

I just started playing it last week, so far its pretty good. Plus you can easily get it for under $5. I heard its a short game though.

Disliked it. World building is bad, lacked the sophisticated level design of classic id games, feels like a Bethesda dungeon A-B.

Wanted to like Rage as an id Software fan but its the equivalent of padding for the sake of 'features'.

Outside the shooting the game offers little. Ugly texture pop-ins, weird level structure, bad racing, and stupid characters that don't shut up. And even then I found the A.I. really stupid and predictable. Can be beaten in a few hours as well.

Just play D00M IV and forget Rage happened.

Rage was ok it played well enough on 360 not sure about PS3. It was obviously unfinished though and ended abruptly. Rage 2 looks a much better game.

It was decent but very flawed kinded felt dated even when it was released the best parts where the breaking bad easter eggs.
