I think im gonna throw away all my games cases and put the disks in a cd holder. The novelty of getting a new game in its case wears off in a week or so. It does feel great to get a new game in its case when you first buy and open it. So I think me throwing away the cases after some time, still lets me experience the new in box experience.

It saves so much more space to throw away all the cases. Do you throw away your game cases or do you cringe at the thought of doing so?

No, I keep them and make sure they are organized to the point of where I can find them without having to look around for them endlessly.

No I keep them. With my PS2/XBox games, I used a CD wallet, but I still kept the cases, in case somebody wished to borrow them, or if I sold them, the case was there. It is much easier to keep the cases, just to stay organized.

No. The thought of throwing away my game cases makes me cringe. I currently have nearly 200 physical games and having them in their cases makes my growing collection that much more satisfying to admire.

Nope, I enjoy looking at my shelf and seeing the cases and whatnot, even if they do take up space, it's a small sacrifice.

Throwing away game cases?? People actually buy those if they don't get them when they buy them sometimes. I see no reason to not keep them in their case. Plus it looks nice having a collection and all.

I used to thow them away and I regret it a lot. I like my closet full of cases, brings back a lot of good memories. CD Binders are better for organization but are more cold and devoid of devoid of feeling.

I always keep mine. I don't think I've ever even considered throwing any of them away, not even the ones that came in poor condition from the shop. :P

Hell no. Cases are more than half the reason why I don't like to download games and just have digital copies.

No Way Jose. I wonder why you'd want to keep them if you don't want the cases. I mean, collecting them is pretty pointless without the cases because in 20 years no one is going to want to buy your cd holder with a bunch of loose discs. Why not sell the ones you don't play to make room?

I have all the CD/DVD cases for all my games/payware as well as the boxes the games come in (PC games). There is no way I would toss them out. I don't own many games to begin with.

maybe you should keep the cases for the time being, just in case you want to sell your games in the future, no one likes to buy games without their cases.

As much as I like scratched dirty looking disc's, I tend to keep mine safely stored in their original box on the shelf.

I keep everything except the advertisements and health warnings that come in the boxes. I keep all the console boxes too, I still have N64, GBC & GBA game boxes as well.

no, and you should just keep them at least don't throw them away. Be glad you have something that's actually physical cause in the future consoles will go digital believe it or not.

Unlike everyone else I do throw away the cases to DVDs / games / manuals and just put them in a CD holder if I have one. I don't see them as a collector's item, they just take up space and I don't have time to open cases etc.

I still have all my game BOXES let alone cases. Like, A4, A5 sized squashed up boxes just for the sake of them. I can't throw those things away.

Man you crazy? Really you gonna throw them all? I do keep all my game boxes on my book shelves... only when I'm travelling I won't take the cases with me and only take the discs.

(I'm travelling all the time between Greece and the Netherlands, so I can't take them with me)

And it makes trading the game out a lot easier if you have everything.

HELL NAH.....why the hell would I do that?? For one, I'm not about flaring up my psycotic OCD on not having a proper game case and secondly--as others stated--nothing knocks down resale value more than a caseless game. Ugh....I just think that's the laziest thing a person can do to their games (no offense toward you; just my opinion in general).

I dont resale my games. Theres no reason for me to keep the cases. I like everything being more simple. It feels like cases take up so much more space than they need to.

I've thought about it and slipping them all into a cd cover but I don't have enough games to justify that yet. I'm ready for the day I have a choice in just going full DD (though I already do on PC). Movies, music and more have extensive libraries all for DD, hopefully next gen consoles do too. I have plenty of PS1 games on my PS3, don't miss the cases one bit. I have PC games spanning back years on my HDD. Would be nice to one day have a handheld that plays 3DS, DS & GBA games all without swapping cartridges. Would love a console that plays all generations of Playstation games, all accessible on the HDD. Nintendo with the virtual console... I like that. A lot

No, I personally do not. I'm not an idiot and in my opinion, thats the dumbest thing to do. Regardless, if you're not a collector or you live in a tiny box down by the river where space is very limited.

Good point. But we're not talking massive massive spaces.

With limited space, there are many ways to utilize game cases.

I built a dog house for my lab, out of DVD cases in my tiny 700sq ft. apartment in NYC.

No way - I like to have all the cases to see what I have - still have some boxes of boxes in the loft with my really old games in their big cardboard boxes before it all moved to plastic DVD cases.

I wouldn't throw away boxes, I certainly wouldn't throw away cases and manuals. If I cared so little about collecting games that I would do that and put them in a CD holder I would probably just sell them.
