I have two. A 1997 Sony Trinitron that I got off Craigslist so I can play games the old school way 😎 I also have a smaller bedroom TV which I've had since childhood lol. Still works!

How about you, GD? Do you still have a CRT TV?

No kinda wish I did though sometimes to get into that old school nostalgic mood.

No. I would if I had a game room, but I've managed to get pretty good IQ on my LCD with my retro systems. It's fine. I play for fun first and foremost - I can tolerate some rough edges

Yes, I have a 32 inch Sony Wega, bought around 2006. It has 13 retro consoles hooked up to it at the moment.

Yeah, I have 3 of them. We never got rid of our sets from the 90's, so I've kept them exclusively for my retro systems.

No, not anymore. Had a Sony Wega but got rid of it a couple years ago. Kind of bummed out getting rid of it but it was just too awkward to have around and it wasn’t really getting any use for years.

How else will you replay Chrono Trigger the way it was intended?

@SolidGame_basic: 😅No thanks. I’ve already played the game on HD tv’s anyway and if I wanted to play it again on an SD tv then I wouldn’t have gotten rid of mine.

I do in a bedroom for watching tv, but don’t use any for games.

I’ve grown annoyed by this cult that thinks crts look better for games. If that’s the case for you, your modern tv sucks. Any good modern tv makes older games look better, not worse. Super Mario world on my modern sets looks way sharper and more colorful than it ever used to.

But it's not about looking better. It's about playing the game the way you used to play it!

After hearing how awesome they are for modern gaming, regret getting rid of them.

I got rid of mine years when they broke down and replaced them with HD TVs. I even had a 50 inch TV that we had from 2002 to 2009 that would consistently break and we would get it fixed. Ended up throwing it away and getting a HD TV that's 70 inches. I don't really miss it as I couldn't go back to those TV's.

I have two. I have a smaller one stashed away, in my closet. I have a slightly bigger one, just sitting in my garage. I dunno if the one in my garage, actually works. And I guess the same with the one, in my closet.

My dad (RIP) at the time try to keep our Zenith CRT TV that he got from Circuit City back in the late 90's but it broke from the inside back in 2015 and that was the end of our last CRT TV and we all embrace HDTV widescreen.
