Topic pretty much says it all...

Do you play more than one game at a time, or finish one then start another?

I tend to finish what I start before going on to something new. I may try a bit of multiple games to decide which one I want to start with, but then I'll stick with it to the end. And I find it a bit difficult to have to re-train my brain on different button configs from game to game.

What say you all?

I used to play more than one game but I found that I was never finishing them. Now I pretty much always finish a game before I start playing a new one.

I used to. This past year, thought that's changed. Now I may only have 2 games going at the same time, and I won't move on until I beat them.

It all depends on the title and teh quality,if I have older games or games I do not care too much about I will just cycle through them untill I beat them all. Or if I ma playing say GH I can only take like one tier of songs at a time before I want to play something else. But when I get a high quality new title, I sit and play it untill its done. Last three being the first FEAR,Oblivion,GTAIV, where i just played start to finish.

It really depends, but usually when I get a new game that's fun, I'm all over it. Games I still haven't finished are Dead Rising and PGR3 out of the 18 games I have.

That is also exactly what I do.

But I play 2 games at a time. 1 with story, and the other is NBA 2K9.

I think I have about two dozen I'm partway through at this point. At least that many. I play a game for varying lengths. A lot of times I'll play until I get angry or stuck at a location, or something similar, and then start a new game. And there's games like Morrowind that are almost unbeatable (100+ hours on one character).

I always try to restrict myself to one game - but some times I install second game as well. But I don't install more than two. Football Manager 2008 is a game that is always installed in my HDD, and every week I play it for few hours, no matter which game is installed.

Don't play more than two games at a time(but it's usually one). Always try to finish a game once I've started playing. It's kind of awkward to start playing a game in the middle of a level or the storyline. Not that I feel lost or not used to the controls... it just feels awkward.

More then one game at a time...I don't have a hard time for the most part remembering controls in a game.

Depends on the game. If its really good, then I'll just play that. If it's okay, I'll play several games at once.

I find it tough to play more than one game at a time because, I usually start to play the game I like more leaving the other one behind to collect dust, never to finish again. Example: Dark Sector and Burnout Paradise. Obviously there is no contest. Burnout is much better(IMO) and I ended up playing Burnout and leaving Dark Sector behind. So now I am barely 4 chapters into Dark Sector while I already have my Burnout license in Burnout Paradise. My point is I can't play more than one game at a time because what could've been a fun experience gets ruined by the other game being more fun.

IfI buy a new game, I usally start playing it, maybe put in like 2 hours in the game. After that though I usally go back to the game I have yet to complete. I hate playing 2 games at once, unless they are completly different(i.e, FPS and RPG or racer). I like beating one game, then another to beat.

I usually play more than 1 game at a time. I try not to play 2 RPGs at once though, but I'm currently playing 2 right now in The Last Remnant and SMT: Nocturne.

Sometimes I play a game all the way through only if it's so good it keeps me hooked. Other times, I stop playing and come back to it later. I have like seven games still in the back burner, LOL!

I'll smother a game for 5-6 hours straight and the next day struggle to play for an hour. By the third day, it's either new game or new hobby.

I play more than one game at a time, but usually no more than one game per genre at a time. So I typically have one RTS, one RP, one FPS and one Simulator going concurrently.

Cheers

just yesterday- playing heaps of retro games like goldeneye, mario kart, diddy kong racing and the old gta's- then boot up GTA IV to (what i think is) the last level of it chasing this speedboat with my dirtbike make the jump for the helicopter, to the little button press to get in, then push in a (or X if you own a PS3) and for a full 5 seconds wonder why im not chasing this guy and end up in the sea, SUDDENLY realising the triggers activate propulsion and braking, i quit playing it and slide in fallout 3. i just may give it another go now... anyway the moral of the story kids is that finishing one game before starting on another (no matter how old) is important, if only for remembering its control scheme and nothing else.

P.S that mission's gunfight portion is dead-tough without cheats- i lost half my health just walking out looking for enemies

It depends what type of game it is, if it is a single player game I just finish it and probably play a couple more time before moving on. If the game has a great multiplayer then I might stay with it for a long time.

If one of the games is a title that doesn't demand much attention or time than I do, but if we are taking about two long demanding games I just play ome of them at a time.

I really try to play one at a time, but sometimes I end up playing quite a few. It mostly depends on the genre too; it is ususally one RPG at a time, with some racing game or puzzle, to relax.

I've tried to finish other games before I start on new ones, but I get bored easely so I play the ones I feel like playing.
