Hi Everyone, was wondering if people could recommend me some city builder games. Not just city builders, but god games, micromanagement games (like Factorio), and so forth. I need to build, do some sandbox constructive expression!

I don't want to say I have played them all, but it sure feels like it. I really enjoy the Anno series (except the most recent), Cities Skylines, SimCity 4, Banished, Black and White 1/2, War for the Overworld, Planet Coaster, and so forth.

Just wondering if anyone out there has played one I have not and if it is any good.

Thanks!

Pharaoh, Caesar III & IV, Aven colony, Tropico 1-5, Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom, Children of the Nile, Settlers 1-7...

Played all of those but Aven Colony, that looks super intriguing. Thank you very much for the recommendation!

Yeah that is arguably the best city builder since SimCity 4, maybe even better than SimCity 4 in a lot of ways.

There's a real lack of good, quality city builders these days.

Especially with the Steam Workshop integration and the mini-expansions they put out every few months. It's keeping the game fresh even after a few years.

If you are willing to step out of the scope of building and managing a city, I would recommend taking look at Project Highrise, with similar Workshop support and frequent expansions.

It's a polished, richer version of Simtower. A lot of fun.

dude Frostpunk looks great. I love anything ______ punk, too.

Speaking of Steam/Frost/etc-punk, did you play Lethis? Pretty great game, a lot of the same visual style and gameplay of the old Impressions city builders (Pharaoh, Caesar III, etc)
