The Star Wars Battlefront season pass provides access to four expansion packs "coming at a later date." EA didn't provide any specifics regarding what these packs will consist of or how often they'll be released. It did, however, say they'll be "filled with new content that will take you to new locations across a galaxy far, far away," suggesting new maps will be a key component.

Listings on the Xbox Store, PlayStation Store, and Origin all list a $50 price for the season pass. Assuming EA and DICE follow the same setup as the recent Battlefield games, the DLC packs are likely to cost $15 each.

Based on what you've seen so far, do you think you'll be getting the season pass?

Nope, not even getting the game until it's around $30 if even then.

Based on the beta, the game barely has enough content to justify $40, let alone $60. AND they want another $50 for a damn season pass? Rip off.

Maybe, that applies to the game and DLC. I wouldn't know until I've been playing the game, if I'm still having fun with it when DLC begins to trickle out then sure I might buy the pass.

I'm not opposed to season passes in principle, but companies like EA and Activision routinely charge over $100 USD at launch for new AAA games by adding a "season pass" that costs almost as much as the game. I'm not a fan of this tactic, especially considering how content-light the Beta made the regular full game appear (even the disabled content didn't look like it amounted to much).

I stand corrected. Ultimate Edition is about $120, USD.

The value of the season pass might justify the asking price to some. But what we know about it currently, what EA's decided to share so far, is that it will feature "new content that will take you to new locations". EA expects people to buy this thing based on that vague, vacuous description, which seems very silly to me.

If you choose to trust these 4 packs will be worth $50 to you, based on thinking DICE's previous season passes were worth it or whatever, then that's your prerogative. I thought BF4 would be worth it based on DICE's previous games. Also, two of the BF3 packs were worthless to me, making that season pass worthless. And considering Battlefront's focus on a broad appeal, I doubt I will value all of this "new content". Furthermore, I am yet to be convinced Battlefront itself will be able to justify it's $60 price.

So no.

This. I have little to no interest with the game at it's current price points, for content offered.

Nope, it's screwing over the consumer not even informing them what they're getting
