I still do, and just last night all night I was playing Star Trek Invasion. Great fun game but the missions can get a little tough.
There any other science fiction games for the original Playstation where you fly around in ships in outer space?

[QUOTE="slamminjammin69"]Independence Day!!! http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_npSKI7e5ufw/TSiDn3fkutI/AAAAAAAAABo/6P92O82Jzds/s400/Independence+Day.jpg Independence Day isn't the highest rated PlayStation game, but about the only one that I can think of that might be similar is Defender - though you're close to the ground in that game, and searching around, I found out it was on PS2. Other than that one, and on the original PlayStation, there'd be games like Descent, Warhawk, Einhander, G-Police, Raystorm or R-Type that don't quite fit with what you seem to be looking for.I still do, and just last night all night I was playing Star Trek Invasion. Maybe Colony Wars? It was popular enough to get a couple sequels, also. You can also try searching 'playstation 1 ship shooters' on google to see what else you get :)
Yep, I still play mine all the time. That console "intro" thing it does, is just epic.
As for good 3D space-ship shooters on PS1, try these out:
Yes I still have the original Playstation console. and the PSone with the LCD screen. Along with 58 original Playstation games. They both work so yes I play them from time to time. Old school gaming with Sony CD-Rom 32 bit machine.
When gaming became mainstream.
Mine finally crapped out 10 or so years ago and I never bothered replacing it. I blame Monster Rancher with it's constant taking in and out of CD's. It never did sound "healthy" after that game.
While PSN's classics covers some good ground, there are some glaring omissions like Colony Wars, Einhander, and GTA2.
I need to get another memory card for my PlayStation. My first memory card I still have its all filled up.
Plus I need memory card space for Driver 1 and Driver 2
yes I still play games on the original PS1, partly because my PS1 can play import games , and also because I dislike the look upscaled PS1 games have on a PS3 , it usually makes the games look worse, as opposed to better.
Wow, im surprised by how many actually play on a PS1 still. If they work might as well keep them. I see those sitting at Goodwill, they cant even sell them for $8 apiece! And I see morons on Craigslist trying to get $20+ for theirs. Kinda worthless when any PS2 or PS3 will play those discs.

I like playing PS1 games on the PS3, easier not to have those save cards... But some folks are religious about hardware.
:)
I liked the visualizer that would run when you used the PS1 as a CD player...
:P
I play some of my old PS1 games on my PC. All you need is the right emulator. I just run the emu, and pop my original game disc in. They play great and look even better than they did on the original hardware.
I really like playing old classics such as Tekken III, Ridge Racer and the Colony Wars games.
I stopped to play my original Playstation in 2000 because it's rotor grew weak again. It would need to be repaired again in store, not direct to Sony. Because Sony would remove mod chip.DeafNYCPlayerYou can just replace the entire laser ?
I don't have any PS1 consoles, but i still play a handful of PS1 games on the PS2.
While most titles have been redone for later consoles (whether as a sequel or tribute), there are still a few games which are unsurpassed. I should really get to buying the titles i still want before decent examples are all snapped-up by collectors or conners.
