Any great old school platformers (besides sonic)?

I've play just about all Sonics and Marios and I've played all the Jak games too, I don't know about ratchet and clank (it doesn't look as funny as Jak and Daxter)

I was thinking something on the line of pandemonium that kind.

I guess ape escape can count as a platformer. Played that game?

Earthworm Jim 1 and 2 are great games, but lets not forget James Pond 2.

if you're looking for an old school platformer i'd say get the 1st. the 3rd one is best but its much more shooting focused.

you might want to check out the sly cooper series.

there's also the crash series. there are 3 on the ps1, that most people agree are great games. theres wrath of cortex (ps2)which is pretty fun and under rated imo. crash twinsanity(ps2) also got decent reviews and sounds fun (havent played it)

Thats a good one plus the sequal for playstation 2 was awesome as well. Also the Sly cooper series and Maximo were pretty good for playstaton 2. Other games that havn't been mentions would be like Ristar, Dynamite Heady, and Bubsy for genesis. Spyro the dragons? I mean I could go on all day about at least solid good platform games on just about every system.

2D- Bonk's Adventure series, Bubsy, Adventure Island series, Wonder Boy series, Duck Tales series, Rescue Rangers series

3D- Syro series

Spyro the Dragon on PS1 is awesome! Also Earthworm Jim was cool on Sega Megadrive.

If you want some great platformers, you gotta look into the whole Adventure Island series.

Really though, Goemon's Great Adventure is the best platformer ever...I use to think it was Yoshi's Island, but no the Mystical Ninja wins this one.
