Any game where you felt sad at the ending?

For me it was Call of Duty 4, [spoiler] It was when Captain Price and Gas died in the end [/spoiler]

I felt sad at the end of Mafia.

• Zelda OOT.....Once again,beautiful ending,for some reason I cried
• GTA4.....I cried tears of joy cause I was finally done with that damn game...

Well I haven't really felt much for a game since I was a kid but I can name some.

FF10, GTA 3-4, Klonoa, Zelda OoT and TP, MGS 3-4, Arc Twilight of the Spirits

I played a ton of games with sad endings or sadend parts but I generally just don't remember them actually. To be honest I felt a lot more sadness...or is it hatred when I get a game with a crap ending that makes me feel an entire bunch of emotions something like this.

Funny thing is, that's the expression I typically use throughout the entirety of a game.

Max Payne 2 (the bad ending), Mafia, Call of Duty 4 and GTA IV.

Plenty of games but now I can't remember most of them :P Suikoden 2, Diablo 2 are all I can recall.

A few friends of mine always tell me that they either broke down in tears or almost did at the ending for the original Kingdom Hearts.

Conker's Bad Fur Day... the game is so silly and goofy, I wasn't expecting it to end where the good guy basically fails in his mission and it has serious consequences. The whole game is a flash back so they hint at this in the beginning, but even then I thought it would end "bad" in a goofy way.Senor_Kami

Actually yeh that was another one I meant to mention, but the game is so silly and fun allthe way through the end is quite a shocker but great. Been waiting for a damn sequel for years.

Call of Duty 4, Ocarina of Time, and Advent Rising.

Probably Sonic Heroes, because all the "couples" start running together! Including Sonic and *sigh* Amy!

I hate that couple! In fact, I don't even care about couples!

shadow of the colossus had a big affect on me and mgs3 was really sad too.

twilight princess was a little sad.

Metal Gear Solid 4 and Pokemon: Mystery Dungeon. Lol

cod4 for me as well, just because it was over so damn fast. just started getting really into it then...the end bye!

Aye, a few:

Suikoden 2 - The music and the feeling of having completed what is frankly one of the best RPG's I've ever played really hit hard and had me in tears, it'sa beautiful ending

Final Fantasy 8 - It was a touching ending

FF9 - Boring game, but what an ending, very emotionally charged with a great song

Birth of the Federation - I loved the game, okay? Completing it had me in tears because I was so sad that I had finished what was for me one of the best Star Trek games ever made and likely ever will be

Probably quite a few but of recent memory I have to say Persona 4. Despite the number of hours put into that game I was saddened by the end, mainly due to the fact that I wanted it to keep going.

I agree with both of you. That game was just absolutely amazing and so was the ending.

MGS4 - "I wonder if i'll ever see him again..."

nothing comes close to the poignancy of that scene, nothing.

MGS3's ending was very emotional as well.

Fallout 3 with good karma. It happened so abruptly I was in shock. Marvel Ultimate Alliance mad me feel really guilty because I didn't do a certain side mission :(

Oot. the ending was happy but it was still ended. also when jhonson died on halo 3, that was pretty sad i loved johnson through the previous two halos.
