We all know by now that the PS3's controller, Sixaxis, is, like Wii's Wiimote, motion sensitive. i'm just wondering if you guys think it's cool to be swinging your controller inside your room while you're alone just to hack and slash your opponents.

Jus timagine.... Finding yourself alone shouting "Yah1", "Take this!", etc. while doing the slashing/stabbig movements with your controlling as if you have a sword or something....

Actually, I find it ridiculous... I don't like the idea. Of course there are other possible application of the motion-sensing capability of Sixaxis, but I'm just saying one possibility.

I don't think it'll be used for combat, maybe you can map certain attacks to specific movements (like tilting to the right will cast a spell), but then again, we don't know enough about the combat system. Actually, that's why I don't think the franchise, or RPGs in general, gain anything from the Wii's motion-sensing. I play RPGs to enjoy a well-told story and not to swing wildly with my arms and that atmosphere usually profits a lot from good graphics (sure, you have games like Disgaea, but I mean in general).

I don't think it will fit that well with Final Fantasy games. Remember the guns for Final Fantasy X-2. It's just going to be useless.

this motion sensing is only applied to certain types of games, like call of duty3. I doubt motion sensing will be applicable in FF13

I think it could be quite usefull, kinda like when we first started using 2 analog sticks, if you were playing a mini game like Cloud on the motorcycle you could use one analog stick to steer the other to swing the sword and the sixaxis for acceleration/decelleration

Would be very cool to use the sensing PS3 controller in the conjuration of time magics, such as haste, stop..., or while defending from enemy direct attacks (like the Bushido blade strugles).

NOOOOOOOOO!!! I don't want to be like a child acting like as if he was actually casting as spell or actually singing an imaginary sword well shouting "Yah! Yah! Yah!".

I just hope , if ever it will be used for FFs, especially in battle, there is an option to turn it of and let me stick with my menu... menu... and a lot of menu.

The six axis controller is equipped with the same functions that the controls in the previous generations, unlike the wii remote control (which i find annoying, tiring, childish), so the buttons and analogs are still the play mecanics focus. The sensing ability just enhance the overall posibilities of the gameplay, and when i said "conjuration", i said the magics, defensive abilities (or wathever) can be controlled with a combination of button mashing and control movements. We cannot live in the past forever. I think it`s a very promising feature.

Sorry. I miss my rumble feedback. Let the Wii do all the motion sensing Sony, and come back to be with your next console.

i really dnt see much use for it...maybe when riding a chocobo or a vehicle of some form, or speicifc minigames...but for the main game i just dnt see any worthwhile use of it...if it is implemented into the main game it'll probably be optional tho...
