Fav FF logo

Back at school, the only thing productive I've been doing lately is drawing FF logos, which are pretty damn awesome. Out of the main series I have some fav logos.

they are: FFX logo, FFXII logo and FFIV DS logo.

there are also 2 others I think are really awesome, but, their from FF that still havent been released.

I really love the colors and main design for the logos, it's one of the things I like the most about Amano's work.

I really like both of them; Versus and XIII's. Amano really has done some job while doing them - back in times of VII there was just a funny little meteor as a logo :P

And youre actually right, there wasnt much thought done for the "first" games, the logos you'd call complex are all from recent FF.

I don't know if we're thinking about the same logo, but the very first games weren't even using the same font. They were just generic texts with no logo arts.

At least, that's how it was in North America. I don't know about Europe or Japan.

I believe Final Fantasy VII was the first game in the series to use that kind of logo.

Versus logo looks like a one-winged woman sorta speak.
I dont agree with the FFXIII logo being Cocoon, when I look at it I see a Pegasus (winged-horse) and two females riding it...
maybe its just my imagination :P

I don't think it's a wing, it looks more like a cape that the person to the right is wearing. Also, Cocoon looks just like a broken moon. That round thing in the middle does remind me of it.

I see the horse's head, but I get the feeling that round thing in the middle isn't its body. Can a horse even curl up like that? I'm pretty sure it's impossible. :P
