an Atari 2600 console or Atari anthology? i want the 2600 for nostalgic reasons but atari anthology for games. the console and games together for 20 games is about 100$ but atari anthology is 6$
However, quite frankly, I would opt for the anthology first. Clearly it's the better deal financially and in my opinion is so much more accessible. All you have to do is pop the disc into a console that you're more likely to have hooked up to a TV anyway and you're set. Less trouble with fiddling with old wired controllers, hooking up an RF cable, plugging in another power cord to your wall, switching out cartriges when you want to play something else. It's just so much easier. And for six dollars? Why not!?
That said, I would still be interested in buying a 2600 when I found a good deal. But it likey wouldn't get very much use. Even my Genesis and NES consoles are usually stored away instead of connected to a TV.
