Does anyone here collect movies?

I'm sure you do, but I wanted this to be in the same vein of the other threads (By Hizang), because I found them interesting. I guess collecting is something of a habit for all of us, its just what we do.

Anyways. I more want to know specifics.

I own all seasons of 24, 4 seasons of Aqua teen hunger force, 1 season of chapelles show, 1 season of CSI, 1 season of family guy, and stewies story thing, season 1 of heroes, season 1 of Rob and Big, and all 3 seasons of Tim and Eric. If you are wondering why I have stupid shows its because I don't have cable, and I love having something to listen to or watch when I cook or clean.

I also own lots of anime: Big O, Cowboy Bebop, Dai Guard, Dragon Ball Z, Elfen Lied, FLCL, Golden Boy, Gundam (8th MS Team, 0080, F91, Chars Counter attack, Gundam Wing, Endless Waltz, G Gundam, Gundam Seed, Gundam X) Gunslinger Girl, Gurren Lagann, Jin-Roh, Karas, Madlax, Ninja Scroll, Ninja scroll the series, perfect blue, and RoboTech, and Gravion/Gravion Zwei is on the way.

I only own 10 DVD's or so now, that I can't part with until they make a blu ray version and somewhere around 40 blu ray movies: Akira, Dark Knight, District 9, Fight Club, Ghost Busters, Star Trek, Wanted, Watchmen, all the hannibal movies, just to name a few.

Anyways, enough about my crap, what are you guys into? I think medias say a lot about a person.

I own to many DVD's really, i'm into collecting older cartoons so have the likes of:

Simpsons season 1-10
Spiderman the Animated Series
The Real Ghostbusters
Looney Tunes
Tom and Jerry
Batman The animated Series

Then I have the typical season box sets:
I.T. Crowd
Life on Mars
Red Dwarf
Ashes to Ashes
Family Guy

Then film box sets:
Ghostbusters
Indiana Jones
Back to the Future

Obviously that's just a selection I could post pictures if anyone is interested.

Then random films I have picked up for a few pound dotted around with some recent titles thrown in.  I rarely buy new films and just wait until I find them pre-owned, they usually drop in price a few months after release.  I would say I have around a 100 DVD's, a couple of video cassettes with older shows that haven't be released, (Tiny Toons how i spent my summer vacation).

Then on top of the DVD collection is my CD's and LP's.  The one item I would never get rid of is an original LP by The Clash titled London Calling.

That's a big yes.  I've got around 950 DVDs and BRs including single films, TV and film boxsets and music DVDs. That sounds like a lot but most of my collection has been picked up pretty cheap on carboots, in charity shops and at second hand stores like CeX and Cash Generator.  HMV sales are also very good to me.

I like just about every genre of movie: action, drama, war, horror, comedy, sci-fi.  I like old and new films, I like kids film, I love world cinema, especially old-school kung fu, HK action flicks and gory samurai movies 8)  Jackie Chan is probably the closest I get to hero worship.  I'm not a snooty film fan either, I don't think there's anything wrong with kicking back with the latest Hollywood by-the-numbers action movie.

Favourites? Too many to name, but to give a taste: The Fifth Element, Ring, Battle Royale, Laputa, Aliens, 28 Days Later, Highlander, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Stargate, Lord of the Rings, Police Story, Hard Boiled, Ben Hur, Das Boot, Fist of Fury, This Is Spinal Tap, Pirates of the Caribbean, Seven Samurai, Withnail & I, Shaun of the Dead, Silence of the Lambs, Drunken Master, Infernal Affairs, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Back to the Future, Akira, Star Wars... and many more.

I don't watch a huge amount of actual TV but I've got a lot of boxsets to watch at my leisure.  Stuff like BSG, Stargate, Star Trek, Friends, Arrested Development, Law & Order SVU, The Simpsons, Futurama, Bones.  I've also got the Loony Tunes boxsets, Count Duckula, Chip 'n' Dale, Dungeons & Dragons, Tom & Jerry, stuff like that. And of course plenty of British comedy: Red Dwarf, Blackadder, Monty Python... :D

I have lots, about 150ish I'd reckon. A few stand outs would be

• The Entire Series of Buffy the Vamire Slayer
• The Entire Series of Angel
• The Entire Series of Spiderman the Animated Series
• Mostly all Marvel Movies

I have a good number and I collect Criterion Collection movies, and anything from a few select directors that I like.  I don't have the quantity that wafle or Cass have, maybe 400-500 DVDs including TV seasons, 50-60 HD-DVDs, 10-20 Blu-rays, and a handful of laser discs.  Mostly I buy and watch horror, sci-fi, and comedy, in that order.

i own a hell of alot of movies: Blu-Rays, DVDs, VHS, and UMD. way too many to mention. i get just about dang near every movie i see in theatres when it comes out.

my collection is mostly wrestling related, but i've got alot of television shows as well: like Knight Rider (old and new series), Blade, Smallville, Supernatural, Hillarious House of Frightenstein, Dinosaurs, Addams Family, Munsters, Monster Garage, American Chopper, Doctor Who, TMNT (80s/90s & 2K3), X-Men, Dracula the series

I bought the new season of Bleach (4 Part 2).

 I also forgot that I also own Stargate SG1 seasons 4 and 5 in my last post. Also I have season 3 of Babylon 5 not 4.

yea i have an okay video collection. i'm really into war movies and mobster films. kinda stopped since i got into gaming (can't support both habits) but i pick up every once in awhile. jsmoke03

for me it was easier when games didn't cost $65.24 for a new game and would drop price in about 4-6 months. oh and having a job lol
