Best Deals I have seen:
Toys R Us, Disgaia 2 was on clearance for 24.99
And Blockbuster is currently running their 25% off all pre-owned promotion right now, and with their rather odd pricing system as it is it opens the door to get games like "The Darkness" for 7.50, for PS3 or 360 and even Bioshock I thought was a steal at 18.50 for 360, worth a look.

Yes indeedy!
The 25% off applied to used GC and PS2 games, if you go to a gamerush store they are flooded with both.
I picked up a sealed copy of Geist for 4.99 and Valkyrie Profile: Silmeria and Radiata Stories sealed for 9.99 (The new games do not have the 25% off but are all marked down)
Blockbuster is looking to dump all their last gen console stuff so you can get some solid deals, I was able to get Obscure for PS2 for 4.99 used - 25% (Even though I JUST bought the Xbox version) even some vintage stuff like the earlier SOCOMS are like 2.99 before discount.

I've checked around, and none of the Blockbusters in my town have an sort of sale right now, so it's definitely not chain-wide. The guys there had no idea about any current or forthcoming sale, and I've spoken with them previously, so I doubt they'd lie about it.[QUOTE="cosmostein77"][QUOTE="summer_star17x"][QUOTE="cosmostein77"]Best Deals I have seen:

I had a look see on the website,
http://www.blockbuster.ca/promotions.aspx#25%25
Then I found the fine print "*Offer valid for a limited time at participating BLOCKBUSTER® stores in Canada only"

Well, there's the rub. I'm not in Canada.Ah yes that may be it,
Perhaps its time for a run to the border :)
Perhaps worth noting,
I was in Wal-Mart purchasing a case of Nestea Sachets, (Yeah I know, why do you need 500 packs of the stuff Cosmo)
While they were pulling it from the back I walked through games and they had:
Microsoft Xbox 360 HD-DVD Add on: $19.97
Gamecube w/ Mario Kart + Extra Silver Controller: $39.97
[QUOTE="cosmostein77"] Gamecube w/ Mario Kart + Extra Silver Controller: $39.97inkwolf
That interests me profoundly as I don't have a GCN yet. I will definately check this out.
May need to zip out quick,
Its a REALLY old bundle from two Christmas' ago, and the Wal-Mart closest to me only had a pair left.
Gamecube w/ Mario Kart + Extra Silver Controller: $39.97
cosmostein77
wow that is old lol, I got that for xmas of 2004.
nice price though, i would gladly pick up another if i had the cash.
mario kart alone goes for around that price.

Which is why I was impressed as well,
I bought that same bundle a few years ago for my bedroom gamecube, it was an awesome package but that was also when I learnt that all the non-Purple GC did not have a digital out on the back of them.

Mine is Platinum with a Digital A/V port, and I've seen black ones with it as well. It's not the color, but the vintage that governs it.Indeed. I have a black one from 2003 with the digital-out port, but it was dropped from later models because it decreased costs and apparently few people used it anyway.LordAndrew
That seems to be a common thing with Nintendo. Didn't the NES drop the AV ports due to low usage?

Blockbuster Canada is doing something nuts with its new games,
Stuff that is still 59.99 at EB and Best Buy is 19.99 at Blockbuster new,
Not sure if its just game rush stores or not>
As mentioned earlier Blockbusters in Canada are doing a buy 2 get 1 sale on their preowned games.
It seems over the last week they have had a pricedrop on many of the older launch titles for 360 and even some of the more recent games which did not quick sell up to expectations,
The few that caught my eye:
Kameo (360) 4.99 complete
Dark Sector (360) 24.99 complete
Dark Sector (PS3) 29.99 complete
Empire Warriors Dynasty (360) 7.99 complete
Overlord (360) 14.99 complete
Virtual Fighter 5 Online (360) 14.99 complete
Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles (Wii) 9.99 complete
Battalion Wars II (Wii) 7.99 complete
Condemned (360) 4.99 complete
While there were others those are the ones that really caught my eye in terms of being a pretty solid deal.
Happy Hunting.
For the Canadians in the gallery:
Rogers Video is having a 30% off all clearance new games deal, now I have no idea what governs a clearance game as they have some very new PS2 games, and some new-ish PS3 and 360 games in the bin.
Â
Well they aren't physical games, but these are still great game deals nevertheless. XBox live is having a sale on some content, themes and XBLA games.
As for the games:
All 500 points through the weekend:
Rez HD
Arkadian Warriors
Catan
Brain Challenge
Boogie Bunnies
Golf Tee It Up!
250 points this weekend:
Assault Heroes
Â
As for recommendations: I highly suggest Ah for it's super cheap price and retro feel, Golf (as it's really polished, and catan as it's a great game.
Rez HD is also awesome, if you wanna play it and not play a huge price. They are all pretty good games.
