Is this a browser issue or a site redesign?
Bad eye-sight as well, setting the zoom to 140% which amplifies the problem.

Maybe they want to require the viewer to give the video more watch time for analytics?
Sounds like the stuff that trashy sites like Fandom or some others that attach a video to your screen and scrolls with you as you read, using up your data and blocking your view.
So I was just checking, and originally thinking it was to hide a toxic community, I notice on paid for sponsored the video effectively hides the message explaining that it's a sponsored promotional video.
Deliberate or note, that comes across as incredibly seedy.

Hello uninspiredcup,
This sounds like a bug to me as we don't have any functionality to force videos to stay on screen. Can I ask what article it was that you were looking at? I Want to find out if it's a problem with a specific page, your browser, or the site in general.
Thanks!
@joshuamobleygs: Happens with every Gamespot video.
Opera. Tested with addons on/off, reset default zoom to 100% from 130%. Third part embedded video e.g. Youtube not exhibiting same behavior.
Videos blanket screen scrolling up or down.
