This is the third time in two days that I bust my ass writing some uber controversial reply only to realize later that its not there (You dodged a bullet with this one alim).
This topic is locked from further discussion.
@GazaAli: Moving this to Bug Reporting and Feedback. Can you elaborate on what you mean my "gulping" posts?

I guessed as much.
What I meant is that I write my reply, click "post" and as expected the reply appears to have been appended to the end of the topic. But when I close the topic and revisit it I realize there is no trace of it.
Do you have an example of a thread you've experienced this in (specifically).
it has been like this since you guys created these new forums.

When you posted did you get the green "message added" bar at the top?

Yup.
I've had that happen before, though not often - for some reason the page/message suggests it's posted even when it actually hasn't at times, and a refresh of the page (or leaving&reentering the thread via the forum index) quickly makes that quite clear. I'm guessing that it's some sort of error that's not getting caught by the error-checking, but I don't really have a clue as to what causes it. Often you can just copy the post and then try and post it again if it fails and it'll work fine, but it's certainly annoying and I'd definitely like it to be fixed.
@GazaAli: I've had this happen before, the devs recommend clearing your cache and your cookies. If the problem persists though, feel free to PM me.

I just did that. Let's hope it'll put a stop to it.
Thanks for taking the time to follow through on this.
