I was having the exact same problem... I'll add Gamespot to the list. It's either very funny or very bad that an Ablocker shuts down Gamespot though. And disturbing that no other website seems to have this problem .
Solved my problem too. Why did this all of a sudden start happening? I've been using Firefox with ABP and Gamespot for years, and this problem just started yesterday.

Guess what's even weirder? I am right now on Gamespot, in Firefox on my laptop and the profiles work just fine here. Without doing anything to Adblock plus!
Could it be that gamespot is actually updating the page layout and because of that there is much mess going on in html land? oh well, I'm currently experiencing the same problems so I'll probably wait for gamespot to actually finish everything before checking back...
Thanks guys, I had the same problem and it works fine now.
For those that come across this and don't know how to add exceptions just click the Add Filter in Preferences and type "@@" and paste the URL after it.
