Foreword ('you' implies whomever is reading this with a bit of power)
I just used the topic to get your attention... I must say I absolutely adore this site and appreciate all the things you've done to improve it over my time here. I just experienced the forum feed where I can see what has been contributed to second by second... kudos (this may have been in place for a while, but I got off forums for a while because of the reason you've already fixed).
The whole point of my post, however, is to request a more open-source atmosphere (and please understand that I appreciate everything you do in this regard, such as user created ratings, etc...). On the user soapbox a while ago was a champion among men who created a separate tab in your profile for top 5 lists. This user seamlessly integrated a seperate tab where all this could be organized, and used Gamespots own 'game variables' or whatever to organize it.
I have to say that I reformat my hard drive every 3 months or so (because I'm too lazy to actually figure out exactly how I've messed up my computer), and lost this tab and all the entries I had made(a total of 1, if you're counting).
So I guess I'm wondering why his contribution wasn't embraced more by GameSpot? (that didn't deserve a quesiton mark, but I put one there anyway). Along those same lines, I'd love to know what 'cookie' I need to save to preserve that tab, and why he wasn't featured, front page, for his accomplishments.
You guys seem very cool to most things and that's the only reason I'm making this post. My actual questions will follow below, now that I've lost your interest.
What is the persons Gamespot name that made this 'mod'?
Why haven't you embraced it publicly?
and What will you do in the future to support such creative minds?
If this all seems like I'm an ass or something, I appologize. That is not my intent. I simply want the community to have more power and feel like Gamespot has one of the best communites around, and, with their combined skills, could launch this site from Super Fantastic to Super-Duper Fantastic.
Thanks,
-Chris Mikaitis
