Will i be able to play the multiplayer?

So i am thinking of buying bioshock 1 and 2 but i want to know if i will be able to play the multiplayer of bioshock 2 or if the servers are dead.Also i would like to know if it is possible to boost the the multiplayer trophies.

You'll be able to play Bioshock2, but people are rarely on servers. Mostly only on weekends. I'd like to collect achievements in Multiplayer (GFLW or Xbox), so if anyone is still playing, pls feel free to add me as a friend (Shepard Live).
