Forever Home is an exceptional JRPG. The story and dialogue are top-notch, the battle system is a perfect throwback to the SNES days, and the length (53 hours for me) is incredible at 5 bucks. I've played AAA games with half the amount of content.
The storyline really shines here. It's not just the character interactions, but also the main character's snarkyness/sarcasm with NPCs. I found myself talking to every single person in every town because the dialogue was hilarious. It's got sort of an Earthbound feel to it in that regard with a slightly darker, more adult story. With that said, there are a couple scenes that hit so hard I genuinely could not take my eyes off the screen.
If you like turn-based RPGs then this is a must-play. If you're not a fan then this might be the time to start.
